"Fish and chips in saffron forests now make gluten-free fish and chips, my wife is celiac and milk unbearable, so we gave it an attempt to absolutely fantastic many chips and beautiful size rocks, it must try our Monday meal in future. it has delivered the time that was hot."

"Nothing more to say other than UNREAL! the new owners of this fantastic fish restaurant have created an unbelievable masterpiece, creating a warm, welcoming and stunning venue for the community of Essex. The front of house (Mathew) will welcome you with his awesome and quirky...personality, offering great wine and craft beer from a simplistic but well thought out menu. It was awesome to see: Luke (Owner chef) speak on a personal level to all customers,m tailoring his menu to suite your palette. Personal experience; I wanted the Oysters and lobster Luke created the dish without questioning my demand. The dish came out even better than I could imagine. Just blown away by a very understated but elegant venue. Nothing more to say. Just great! Chris"

"Wow! What a wonderful evening being able to dine at the Axe once again. Such a warm welcome in every sense from David and Emma and the rest of their team. "This food was absolutely superb. I usually always go for a Chicken vindaloo when I have an Indian but decided to try something different. We ordered as a group at work and oh my. I had the Jalfrezi and chicken tikka biryani and some onion bhaji. Every thing was so delicious and we will definitely be ordering again. Can I just say, the naan bread as well was so succulent."
