"We also visited this lovely restaurant whilst staying at the Villa Etelke in Valverde another wonderful find). For visitors who are not from southern Europe, do not be put off if the restaurant is empty at 8pm, enter and you will be treated to a wonderful experience. You will enjoy the sole attention of Guiseppe the charismatic owner who speaks excellent english) and his charming family with an array of sensational flavours in the food as if cooked by your own personal chef! The restaurant then starts filling up at 9-9.30 with the locals who must be thrilled to have such a fabulous restaurant on their door step which is excellent value for money. We ate there twice in our 4 day stay. The first time we shared the Miro antipasta which was a selection of 10 different entrees, mostly fish and they were all sensational. The local Etna wines went beautifully with it. We had 2 wonderful pasta dishes a lemon sorbet, with an addition of vodka, very tasty. The second time we had the pasta with prawns and asperagus followed by fish of the day cooked in foil with wine assorted sea food, it was all so fresh and full of flavour. Guiseppe is a fabulous host who is always finding that extra something to make it memorable; a sparkling wine with aperitifs as a welcome; a plate of fresh walnuts a sweet wine to finish. Excellent value for money and by far the best experience we had in our 2 weeks in Sicily. Looking forward to returning and being spoilt again."
