"I very much enjoyed this Korean meal at Jang Mo Jib. The hotpot was large and enough for large party and they made it nice and spicy. Loved the rice cake and the broth. Unusual korean menu in my opinion not just typical rice bowls and korean bbq. Service was very nice and it was a good group dining experience."

"I had previously had some positive dining experiences at Damso Modern Korean Cuisine on Denman (my rating 4/5). So when the line up at Cafe Medina was estimated at two hours long, my husband and another couple decided to go for Korean. I recommended giving Damso’s second location on Bute a try and we headed there for brunch one Saturday afternoon."

"This place has redeemed themselves. I've been wanting to write this review for a while but haven't gotten around to it. Long story short, a while back I went with some co-workers for lunch...A server dropped a drink on the table and as a result the broken glass had cut my hand. We weren't pleased with the way the situation was handled and wrote to the management. The woman (sorry forgot her name) who got back to us was incredibly professional and handled the situation in such a positive way that we returned and have gone back since. Accidents happen, but it's how you handle them once done that is important. She completely stepped up and that is rare.<br/>The patio is beautiful and on one evening they had live music which was enjoyable. They have great drink specials and nothing is better than sangria on the patio. The food is delicious and you can't beat the view. Clearly management cares at this place and it shows!"

"We had a great visit to Steamworks Brewpub on a moderately busy Sunday evening. We were sat immediately (after we showed our vaccination status , and the staff were prompt and attentive. We tried the beer soup (excellent! , the seafood chowder (good , and the fish and chips (good . The preparations were good for everything we ate, but the beer soup was the standout. The soup portions could be a little larger, but that's my only complaint: they're good enough that I wanted more. We also tried the Copper Roof(? ale and the stout on nitro. Both were good, but I would pick something else to replace the Copper Roof. Apparently we also should have gotten the pretzel."
