"Absolutely delighted that Memories of Bengal has reopened in Cholsey. It’s been much missed in the village whilst it was closed. The food as always is excellent. We started with a couple of Indian restaurant classics onion bhaji vegetable samosas. Bhaji’s crisp and tasty and wonderfully spiced. Samosa’s packed with deliciousness yum! For our mains, I had the Mirchi Chicken Tikka with keema naan, my wife had the Prawn Xacuti dish with coconut rice, and we had a side of another classic, a vegetable curry. It was fantastic. I’ve never found the Mirchi Tikka on any other Indian restaurant menu and it’s by far my favourite dish of all time. Essentially a really spicy hot chicken tikka served on the traditional sizzling skillet with fried onions. Yes please!!! Keema naan dipped in the vegetable curry cor! All round a fantastic meal, washed down with a couple of Cobras. They currently have prides set really low also to get people back in so we’ll worth a trip. They’ll soon be changing the menu please keep the Mirchi Chicken Tikka on there guys!!"

"Generic fish and chip shop with big portion sizes for a fair price. The staff here are very nice and it seems like they are very popular with the locals. It does not have any seating but there is a park nearby where I sat to eat. The food is very tasty, and the service is very fast- you can find yourself in a queue out of the door and then be served in a few minutes!"
