"As guests at the hotel, we wanted to try the on site restaurant. It 's in the wine cellar of the hotel on the lower ground floor. There were little alcoves around the room. I wish they would make it more wine cellar decor as it did have a social club feeling about it. The food we were served was divine! I don 't think I 've ever eaten a well done steak that had been cooked so beautifully. It wasn 't dry at all and there was very little fat. It was just perfect. We chose not to have desert as none of the options took our fancy. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant as well and again, the chef did not disappoint! The Full English was so flavourful and just perfect! Massive shootout to all the staff here! They were all amazing!"

"We stopped here for a fish and chip meal and were pleased with the choice available from traditional fish to a variety of pies , side dishes , and sausages. Waitressing staff were friendly and efficient and we observed tables being promptly cleared and cleaned between diners. The take Away section of the cafe was doing a roaring trade but this did not detract from service to diners. Toilet facilities here were very clean ."

"I was staying at Haven Seaview, camping, in the pouring rain, needed cheering up. Looked at a few chippies online and decided to go a bit further away to buy food. So glad I did. The place was packed. It's a good sign when people are queueing happily for food. They have a good system, loads of staff all working together under the supervision of one chap. It was like a well-oiled machine. Servers showed patience with customers, and worked so hard to keep pace. The fish was beautifully cooked, white and flakey and the chips were nicely cooked. Made me wish I lived in Weymouth."
