"Visited for a Sunday Roast with my partner. well the service to start was poor, poured red wine into a white wine glass, lemonade was flat, so choose to have a bottle, still charged considering the glass prior was flat!! a bottle, the staff...owner... said well next week the tax goes down so will be cheaper!!! Great customer service.. Not!!!! The Roast was ok. But not what you would expect for near on presentation very poor... cheese sauce just poured all over the vegetables which were very soft, the parsnips were white like boiled... The pub it self was covered in areas with cob webs, and not nice smells coming from staff, and not at all friendly... And prior to starting our meal complaints from other visitors had already been given to staff, and even a visitor had advised us prior to eating. Well to say the least I wont be visiting this place again, and advise others to be cautious if you wish to eat at this pub... with no happy friendly customer service and near on microwaved heated food... with no presentation. Such a shame.. when this happens but dont want other people having a disappointing visit... and not like it's cheap!!!"

"Not 4* Phoned and spoke to Eszter and explained that it was my wife 's 30th and she would also be 29 weeks pregnant at the time so just wanted a chilled night away with a spa treatment. Booked the suite with it being a big birthday that I was told was recently refurbished (il get back to this bit) After booking the room I was told I had to book the spa treatment through the spa itself to then find out it was closed on the day of our visit (should have taken this as a warning sign) Thought it would still be nice to get away so still went with it. Arrived at the hotel plenty of parking. Lobby area very smart and no problem with check in. Got to the suite to be greeted with a dirty flannel on the floor from the previous guest. View from the suite over the lake was lovely can 't fault that. The recently refurbished room had a mouldy bath panel and tiles rocking with grout missing. Booked the brassiere for dinner and was not until we sat down we was told we was on a reduced menu that was the same as the bar menu so nothing special and no explanation. Could not find a thermostat to turn the temperature down so the room was too hot to sleep and too noisy to open a window. Last but not least the suite next to us was part of a wedding party so what I hoped would at least be a relaxing morning was disturbed by a constant knocking on the door that started by 7a.m and then a mini salon set up just outside our door with hair and makeup and plenty of noise. Would not recommend this place at all!"
