"Lovely, small room within the three restaurant space that replaced Restaurant Michael. While I see Aboyer has been described as loud, Silencieux is...quiet. Imagine that! However, the silence was by no means oppressive we were able to talk, but I did feel that if someone had a louder voice the entire room could hear every word. We had originally booked for George Trois actually mistakenly, as silly me thought George Trois had several menus instead of several distinct restaurants. Luckily, due to our dietary restrictions the manager actually suggested that we switch to Silencieux a far more sensible choice for a Sunday night when we weren 't prepared for a 12 course meal. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive by no means pretentious, which I had honestly feared (in keeping with the website 's description the services are calm, discreet and without the bustle. Some restaurants just try too hard, and I didn 't feel that way here. My grandmother and I each had the mushroom soup as an appetizer. The bisque was a bit bland, but the pastry fleuron filled with mushroom ragout was delicious! My husband had the frisee salad, which he enjoyed. I had the vegetarian dish as my entree. I don 't have high hopes when there is a daily vegetable dish, and this didn 't knock my socks off. The dish was a lovely presentations of vegetables with a rice(? and morel pilaf, for lack of a better word. I love morels, but felt their flavor was shrouded. My grandmother enjoyed her dover sole another table had been raving about it. My husband enjoyed his beef as well. We had both desserts both good, but I can 't say I loved them. The praline souffle was probably the winner. I very much enjoyed the red burgundy we had with dinner, although I can 't recall the bottle! Overall a good meal and nice experience, but I 'm not raving about it. We will come back to try George Trois at some point!"
