"The place has a lot of potential. The waiter was new and unfortunately wasn’t trained very well. He was a lovely young guy but his customer service was 0/10. They didn’t have 2 bottle of wine we ordered so gave us another that was $40 more without telling us. Then opening it and sitting in the cooler without asking if we would like a taste. The duck wasn’t cooked properly, couldn’t cut through it. Was very tough. The chicken wings were nice, although the sauce was awful. The sweet potato fries was literally a whole sweet potato cut into 4 big chucks just steamed. The cucumber salad was just awful. The staff were poorly presented and you could barley talk as everyone would hear everything you’re saying! The menus are just printed on paper with the ink basically run out so can hardly read them. So disappointed with this experience. This restaurant has so much potential!!"

"Drove past the Royal On The Park yesterday that reminded me the episode of my last visit here a few months ago.<br/>It was again a Fork Festival off food bill deal. We ordered a seared scallop with cauliflower and the soup of the day. Scallops were very sweet and cooked to perfection. Soup was rich in lobster flavour but it would be better to be more creamy. The two mains of lamb cutlet and fish of the days both reflected the chef’s culinary skill. "Went here for the course degustation, the food was was tasty, however the portions was sooo tiny, the dishes were well prepared and tasty, although the cost of the dessert was a big disappointment, an el cheapo of a few mixed berries and coconut...cream. The ambience was ok and the staff trained and professional, if your hungry and are an average consumer of food you may need to go elsewhere to satisfy your hunger. We won't be back as we thought it to be overpriced for the tiny portions served."

"We loved our waiter, the cocktails, the souffles and the nougat glace. The legumes side needed salt. My first steak was nearly cold, giving it an unpleasant mouth feel. The second was a huge improvement. Quite a pricey night out but the food didn't really impress."

"I loved the stunning outdoor dining experience here, with the river views, the Story Bridge illuminated at night and gentle summer breezes making it the perfect place for a special night (you can also sit inside). In the grounds of the historic Customs House the seating was comfortable and the food was beautifully presented and delicious. I had the gnocchi which I really enjoyed and my friends said they were very happy with their meals. This is the ideal place to take a visitor to Brisbane to show them our fabulous laid back river life, plus know that the food will be great."
