"Atmosphere is good, busy. A little understaffed but attentive.the Sunday lunch was average not as good as it is promoted to be. I had the trio of roasts beef, turkey, pork my daughter had the roast turkey, we independently judged it to be allright', typically british understament. The menu indicated pork crackling, I got a blob of uncooked fat; there was supposed to be stuffing, it was nonexistant the vegetables were over- cooked."

"Took my elderly mum out for Sunday lunch as a party of five and it was fantastic from start to finish. We arrived on time but our table was still being cleared. They offered a table upstairs but I explained my mum struggles with stairs and we were happy to wait. They got the table cleared really quickly, apologised and said they’d take a couple of drinks off the bill. They needn’t have done that and I hadn’t complained but it really does set a good impression. Vast array of beers to choose from before the food came. Chance to try samples for free too. Food arrived and was superb. We had all the different roasts and no complaints. If anything, there was slightly too much on the plate for some. Not moaning though because it was all cooked perfectly. Service was chilled but efficient. Young team, but all really switched on and helpful. Can’t wait to return."

"We found the staff to be attentive , friendly and helpful .Our party arrived at separate times and were shown to our table without fuss or delay. We were a bit slow at ordering our food but the waitress allowed us plenty of time . All food arrived at the same time and was well cooked and well presented on hot plates and of good quantity. Suitable sauces were also brought quickly on request. Drink requests were also quickly attended to. Waitress also enquired if there were any problems with the meals a few minutes after they were delivered. There were no problems. One of our party was aged and was relieved to find a disabled parking slot available immediately adjacent to the entrance. Only two such spaces appeared to be set aside could there be more made available? Our table was also on the upper area of the split level inside the building and the three access steps did cause some problems for the year old. This was hardly the fault of the staff as I did not mention this when booking the table or request a table on the level. The table was booked on line and as far as I could see apologies if I am wrong there was no mention of the split level with regard to possible guest walking difficulties. Perhaps this could be added to the site page?Altogether we had a very enjoyable evening. Thank you"
