"I visited Harold's 6 years ago for lunch and thought it was the neatest place downtown. I'm so happy to know that it has continued to Prosper over the years. However I am really disappointed with our experience last night after bragging to my boyfriend about this place. I guess the dynamic now is to order at the bar and then seat yourself- not a big deal but, last night with the upstairs being reserved specifically for a holiday party, there were no tables available. When our food came, even the poor food Runner was aggravated because she had nowhere for us to sit to eat. My boyfriend couldn't get a refill on his soda without standing in line to get back to the bartender and when we were finished eating, we had to stand in this line to get back up to the bar just to close out and ask for a to go box. We really felt like we looked like idiots standing there with dirty plates. The food Runner happened to spy us as she was walking back through and told us that we could go to the upstairs bar to close out because there weren't a lot of people up there. So this entire upstairs that was reserved for a party had about six people present @7pm- sign said party started at 6pm) and was preventing the standing room only downstairs from receiving adequate service. It just really sucked and I was apologizing to my boyfriend for hyping this place up and paying $50 for us having a not so enjoyable experience. I will say our meals were good nothing amazing) BUT the service from the bartender and food runner was great- it was just not a well thought out floor plan. This place clearly isn't lacking business and I'm sure this isn't usually the case but, sadly I don't think we'll be back. Too many other options downtown."

"The Majestic is our go-to restaurant for pre-Orpheum date nights. On this particular night, I was with two girlfriends, and we were celebrating one of their birthdays. The food was fine, the service was fine. I think what I miss here is intimacy. The place is so big, it feels like a factory, and we never get to know our server or feel valued. My friend had a burger, another friend had a flatbread, I had a veggie plate (which was very good)."
