"We made a reservation one week prior to arriving. Assortment of food was amazing! $89 for many types of wagyu that melted in your mouth and were cut into perfect pieces so we could try alittle bit of everything. Food came very quickly so 120 minutes was the perfect time. While the food was nice, the atmosphere turned quite sour when; 1. We requested a quiet seat as it was a birthday, and got the possibly busiest section in the middle entrance squished between two others. We sat initially thinking that the restaurant was full and no other place to sit, however once we started ordering we noticed nearly half the restaurant was empty, which further ruined the day when the people wedged next to us wouldn’t stop sneezing and coughing in our pointed direction. 2. as first timers to the restaurant, we didn’t know the ordering system or method, and no explanation at all. when asked, the waiter looked and sounded VISIBLY ticked or irritated, as if he wanted to be anywhere but in the restaurant? Very quick worker though. We were also not notified of the birthday promotion going on, however that i understand is my fault for lack of research. For a decently priced buffet, we were disappointed so much by the service and atmosphere i wish i booked elsewhere for a birthday. Would love to have come on any other normal day, it’s just an expensive izakaya atmosphere at best. All the food was delicious."

"I've been going to Yumei for quite some time and the service and food was always good. I've never had any complaints until today. I had to wait for more than half an hour for my food to arrive and when it did it was not the same standard as it used to be. It's a little annoying since I've only got an hour for lunch before having to go back to work. It'll be a long time before I decide to visit Yumei again."
