"This is a nice little restaurant on the main street in Cuxhaven. It is near the beach but not off the beach. The clientele appeared to know the staff as though they were locals. The server speaks English well but the menu is only in German. That is part of the fun isn't it? Trying to figure out what you are ordering when you really do not have a clue? The menu is a book but in examination it is relatively simple: salads, soups, meat, fish and desserts. Sticking to the fish seemed logical on the Nordsee. The Seelachsfilet (Pollack) was a large boneless filet sautéed with lardons of bacon, tiny shrimp and mushrooms served over potatoes. It turned out to be a heavier meal than expected but very tasty. with a salad and beverage just over 22 Euro."

"Very cozy and very friendly staff. The food came very fast and was very delicious. Prices raised, but justified. It was relatively full, so I would recommend a reservation."

"Once in a while you've got that lucky shot. This restaurant had everything! It was unique, old-fashioned and cozy. The food was super tasty and the ultimate staff beautiful. Go there and make sure you have a fresh haake pelvis with your fish plates. Thank you later."

"I find this joint really good. Only had positive experiences with the food and the very friendly service. Hearty food, and adhere to the normals such as plaice, or cod, or Schellfish, or sea tongue, but stay away from crabs that are coarse, and sea tuft that is... also rough. But most importantly, if you have the opportunity to sit outside, then eat outside, or your clothes will give you a good memory for the rest of the day that you have been in a fish restaurant."
