"Amazingly well executed izakaya cuisine — every dish is stellar! The service is casual but attentive and extremely knowledgeable and helpful, particularly with sake pairings. It is on the pricey side but worth it for food this well done. One of my all time favorites in San Francisco!"

"A good friend recommended this place to me so I decided to check it out. Had the blue tea cheese danish, which were both excellent! Had the place to myself for a cpl hrs but it still felt homey inviting. Host Darryn was super nice and kept checking in on me. Love supporting small businesses and will definitely be back!"

"Poor wait staff service 1/22/22 630pm. Ordered matcha latte and asked server about it twice and she said she'd check on it and never did. Came back to table oblivious about the tea each time. Had to walk up to the barista counter and get it myself after 30 minutes of waiting. Spicy ramen was bland, needed salt badly. Momonoki Tsukemen were 90% batter and 10% octopus bits. Pretty disappointed on all accounts. No way to get refund on tip because you order on your phone with no refund options. Bad all around. UPDATE: manager called (unsolicited) to sincerely apologize and refund entire ticket. Entire refund wasn't expected (Rating changed from 1 star to 4 stars). Good managment staff. Cares about customer experience."

"Original 4/12/17: My quest in Chicago is to find the best ramen place. So far this is one of best combination of chashu, noodles, and broth!! Chashu is soft enough that break apart easily but it doesn't melt in your mouth, noodles have good thickness and texture, broth is good and it was not too salty like most places. This is cheaper than many other places with lower quality of ramen too. Updated 9/5/17~ 4 stars to 3 stars: The karage was pretty bad! Not only it is nothing like the real karage, KFC would have better fried chicken than that. The chicken was barely fully cooked, skins were not crispy, and the meat was not marinated. The ramen broth was bland and oily. It ended up as just some quick food to fill the stomach, not a meal for enjoyment."
