"I visited this Toby carvery twice recently on a Saturday afternoon. It was easy to drive to, with plenty of parking. In fact the car park, grounds are well planted with greenery. The outside of the building is in good condition, the interior design decor are tasteful, in good condition. The tables are quite well separated, comfortable seating. There is a small bar area, also outide area, probably nice in Summer. It was very easy to book a table on the website, both times i've been greeted quickly, in a friendly manner, quickly shown to our table. The Carvery I consider reasonably priced I think, at £8.29 on a Saturday, (I think it is a bit less on weekdays, a bit more on Sundays. plus drinks of course. We didn't need to queue for long to get our choice of Beef, Turkey, Gammon, Pork, plus a yorkshire, stuffing, then a range of veg. peas, green beans, carrots, roast potatoes, parsnips Plus nice gravy, sauces if required. (You can even go back for more veg gravy if you can manage any more !! Staff were all friendly helpful, the food was just a great roast meal !"

"Went for afternoon tea. Beautiful place and lovely staff. Really nice atmosphere and we noticed that people made an effort in the way they dressed. Was nice to go some where with out kids running around. The food was nice but the cakes and scones were to big. But will be going back as it's such a lovely place to go. Lovely on a summers day."

"The horse hoe bar and restaurant in halle green, birmingham is something of a culinary chimaera, consisting of contrasting components such as the mythical creature. as the manager tanveer handa has explained to us, it is the goal to offer high quality Indian cuisine in addition to the traditional gastropub tea qualitatiw. atmosphere the interieur of the ortes reflects this dual ethos. before a traditional local pub, the horse hoe was transformed into a warm and welcoming space where wood and brown leather create the atmosphere of a cozy yet elevated gastropub. Unfortunately, the east decoration is rather economical, but a few graceful statuettes show that chilli spice, the Indian avatar of the restaurant, is also present. food naturally, the menu offers a lot of options for the palate. however, they do not expect any fusion courts. the philosophie is very much to keep the Indian cuisine separated from the other kitchen, as the two separate menus reflect. Despite its name, the “English Menu” in the actual options, which are as diverse as tiger garnel, crispy escape and various pasta dishes, besides the normal pub-grub selections such as fish and chips and lambs. the choice is perhaps somewhat overwhelming, despite the brave attempt to cover all the bases. the chilli Spice menu is however highly concentrated on fine Indian dishes. starter kasondhi ka jingha (jumbo prawns marinated and flavoured with honey and senf) along with barrah kebab (lamb chops marinated in yogurt, garlic and ginger) put the bar incredibly high for the rest of the meal. to the happiness, the murg methi (hon cooked with fenugreek leaves in creamiger gravur) lived up to the expectations, offers a delicious experience without the overuse of pfeffer and seasoned many curries are guilty. for dessert (if you can find space) we recommend gajar ka halwa. this is a classic Indian dessert that combines grated carrots and milk reduction in a sweet partnership that perfectly covers her meal. drink while the horsehoe bar and restaurant wine card is good, the cocktails made more of a impression. in particular the more traditional house specialties lychee martini and seasoned mojito represent the most successful attempt of the restaurant to unite east and west."
