"I have known the Cafe Throne in the heart of Garmisch for decades, and I have always fascinated the great cakes in the edition. So far, I've only been there to buy cakes, today I've eaten here for the first time. A restaurant has been there for several years. There are all kinds of small and large dishes, from Wienerle with bread to schnitzel with pommes, several variants of toasts, liver cheese with fried egg or meat plant with potato salad. The prices for the situation are acceptable, between 5 and 10 euros everything is to have. Cafe and guest rooms are large, the facility is still from good old time, but the beautiful, competent services for them are young and fit. This is also perfectly spoken English, as the audience is international. I chose grilled cashiers with potato puree, and I didn't give up the sour wort. Instead, I have a salad. If you take into account that there is actually predominantly a cafe, the food was good average. A star cook didn't prepare it, but it was nicely dressed and edible. Then I looked at the cakes and cakes and was happy to be filled. Because these are the purest calorie bombs, the pieces huge and calorie elastic. I couldn't do that this time. Good three stars for choice, service and taste. September 2019 There is still the boxer with the baked apple slices I ordered. My husband has Königsberger Klopse. Nice to sit outside, looking at the old pharmacy on the other side of the street. Very nice superior who ran again to bring me mustard. I don't need him to disappoint him. Always like and a star more."

"We were in the hotel and firstly overlooked the restaurant until we saw the menu card. Decided to go in for dinner one night and was pleased about the service level, knowledge and food. Just one of those good steady restaurants that do an excellent job every day of the week. Can't go wrong if you are in the area."

"We came into this cafe on top of the Zugspitze because the main restaurant at the top of the cablecar was closed for an event just before Christmas this is just down the next level near the glacier (gletscher). Being smaller it has a...limited but sufficient menu 2 entrees, 3 mains, 1 dessert, plus cakes in the cabinet, but the food was tasty and filling and it was great for hot chocolate with a view . Also good to defrost after doing our toboganning. Since this cafe is free standing with big windows it is probably better located than the big Sonnalpen restaurant next door in the main building the Gletschergarten gives you clear views over the snow and peaks with skiers walking by. There was snow up here both laying and falling when no snow was laying or falling down in Garmisch P. The Zugspitze peak is just round the corner from the cafe (out of view) and worth wandering round to (but is closed to walkers going across to it in winter)."

"Found this little gem when we were near the farmer market, on which was a gaunting. the waitress did not speak much English, but she was very friendly and helpful and we did our best with German. I told him it was amazing, and maybe the best tent we had on our trip. I came, like tradition, with a sweet senf amazing. the rest of our group had other things. that were delicious. would be here to visit again."
