"I actually paused my delivery meal from this place in order to write a review, because I'm so over the moon with it. Ever since moving to this city, I've been struggling to find Chinese cuisine that will satisfy me. I come from a much larger city that has a thriving Chinatown and amazing food on every corner. I found a few serviceable Chinese places in town, but nothing that compares with anything back home. Five Happiness is by far the closest. It will be my go-to Chinese place from now on. The vegetarian egg rolls are the best in the city for sure. Yes, they are greasy. But that's okay with me. They are not those tiny little spring rolls. They have a lot of substance to them. The restaurant sends sides (not packages) of sweet and sour and very hot mustard, which is so appreciated. Last time, I had the vegetable moo shu and the vegetable lo mein. Both were great and were served in huge portions. It fed me for 2 days. Tonight, I had the gai lan (Chinese broccoli), which blew me away. Normally Chinese broccoli is served in a light wine sauce with garlic. But this version is very spicy and hardy. I haven't found too many places that serve gai lan in New Orleans. this just made me so happy and also came in a huge portion. I also tried the vegetable fried rice which, I kid you not, came in a portion large enough to feed an entire family. It was so great and well balanced, with chunks of broccoli and baby corn and carrots. The only downside to this place for me at all is the price point. It's more expensive than the other places I order from, but I guess you get what you pay for. It would be remiss of me not to mention the adorable and reusable bag they put the food in for delivery. It's a really nice fabric bag that you can use for grocery shopping or so many other things. That tells me this business really cares. Another reason I don't mind paying a little more. I see there are a lot of bad reviews here, but I can't relate at all. I have finally found my Chinese place in New Orleans. Give them a try."

"In new orleans. without visiting Toyo’s meatery, you could not go because it was recommended by family members who are food, and our experienced lived up to our expectations and beyond. we asked our server for advice and help and she was very helpful and informative. we had an order of the racks of elch, the boudin balls and a gurkensalat. we enjoyed every teller and share it between man and woman. we recommend a visit in nola. and we hope to return in the future for another visit."

"My second time being at this place and it still rocks! Last time was in 2020 on our BBQ Roadtrip. Today I had the 3 meat plate w ribs, brisket and sausage. 2 sides mac n cheese and coleslaw. Comes with white bread but get some of their cornbread muffins... super good! Everything was great and service was friendly and quick"

"Absolutely delicious, a hole in the wall local spot. An American spin on Chinese food for sure. The beef and broccoli was made with the most tender brisket I've ever had! And the shrimp fried rice with Hawaiian bacon is simply divine. I haven't had one thing that wasn't spectacular and the cocktails are amazing. Please try the Thai milk daiquiri, the Chinese doughnuts and the Craw Rangoon!!"

"Cool place, a lot of history. The host who sat us explained really thoroughly when we inquired about vegan options. Tables for 4 people were a bit tight, would recommend calling ahead and putting 2 tables together. The Frenchuletta was one of the best things I've eaten in my life, especially with a beer in a frosted mug on the side. Tourists...Get off the beaten track and try it."

"OMG. This place is fabulous. Such delicious flavor and seasoning. We tried the cauliflower wings, the chicken jackfruit sandwich as well as the original burger combo and everything was delicious. I would also suggest trying the hibiscus with mango tea. We came here while traveling from Miami to New Orleans and definitely coming back whenever in town."
