"We booked for a Sunday lunch, without asking the price. When we saw it was £17 we thought we were in for a treat. When ordering we were surprised we had to pay an extra £3.50 for a portion of cauliflower cheese. We found the meat selection was chicken, brisket of beef or belly of pork, three of the cheapest cuts of meat available. When it arrived we were disappointed with the meal content. My brisket was over cooked and separating. We had two roast potatoes, a quarter of a parsnip, quarter of a carrot, some mashed up carrot and swede, greens and for some reason a half of beetroot. My wife’s belly of pork was so tough she could not ear it and I could not even cut it. The waitress came to see if everything was acceptable and when we mentioned my wife’s tough meat she immediately offered her a full refund, instead of trying to supply a more tender piece of meat. We left very dissatisfied and vowed never to go there again."
