"Had a good lunch Labor Day(9/4/23) at this quaint place where two little old cheerful Vietnamese ladies were very kind attentive to me my husband. We were directed to sit at a table immediately they welcomed us as if we were coming into their very own home! The atmosphere is definitely dry homey as you’ll see no fuss or frills apart from some nice simple wall decor some of the special menus they offer. One of the aunties pointed out their special local egg rolls which we definitely tried 7 was delicious! I ordered the beef stew w/ rice noodles (Bun Bo Kho) my husband ordered the Chicken pho (pho Ga) and they were really well made w/ good seasoning flavor, not too salty but rich in goodness! Of course we also ordered a pork sandwich (Bun mi) cause the broth of the beef stew was so good to have with it. After we were stuffed the aunties even brought over a couple of complimentary pastry desserts, they were tasty too! A good way to round out the savory meal we had. The value for your money goes a long way specially here in Honolulu, away from the tourist hubbub. Supporting local places like these which are a neighborhood treasure for visitors slowly turning locals like us always makes us feel the spirit of Aloha which is plentiful in this Island of Oahu. Mahalo for reading this far if you wanna go out try something a little more authentic w/ a local flare, definitely come visit this place. Pro tip we read from another review that if you don’t find parking along the streets, you can park at Safeway jaunt on to this little place."

"Amazing! Very very nice staff and very fast! We got the loaded tater tots and burgers with fries! Burgers had a Smokey flavor like it was fresh off a real grill. Fries were crispy and the tater tots were awesome. Bacon was thick and real. Loved it and will totally be coming again."

"I came to a whim for my last meal in Hawaii before I returned to the mainland USA and wow... I really couldn't have asked for a better final meal on the island! Peace Cafe offered some of the best vegan comfort food I've ever had, drawing from Korean, Japanese, Moroccan, Mexican and American cuisine to offer unique delicious dishes at a really reasonable price. While the takeout took only operations a little away from the experience, I was honestly only so grateful that the Peace Cafe was still open during the pandemic and that I was able to try out their amazing dishes! I chose her Katsu plate with Tempeh, and it was absolutely incredible that the bread on the Katsu was wonderfully crispy, and the Tempeh was remarkably tasteful. The Katsu sauce was also amazing, it had the most beautiful curry flavor, and I honestly wish that I just buy a huge bottle of it and put it on everything I eat. Between the black and brown rice and massive tempeh snell the plate was incredibly filled, so I was really grateful for the small side salad and mixed greens to brighten the meal. My friend tried her Katsu plate with Tofu, so I had the opportunity to have a little side by the side comparison of the Tofu and Tempeh both are absolutely delightful, but I personally thought that the texture of the Tempeh paired a bit better with the rest of the plate. The Tofu was softer and slightly waterier, but if you are not the biggest fan of Tempeh (or just looking for something with a softer consistency), the Tofu is a really solid choice. One of my other friends tried their heart and Seoul, and also loved their vegans take on traditional Korean flavors. I honestly think you can't go wrong with their menu, and I can't wait to find my way back to Hawaii to try some of their other dishes!"

"The counter, for the first time visiting with friends, we all decided to come here. It was a very good experience. I have to try bison meat! And it was very good! I liked it. You can create your own burger or even a salad. I made a burger salad. But not less. It was a good choice to come here between friends and enjoy a meal. :3"

"I'm a huge burger fan and this food truck hands down takes the cake for best burger I've ever had. If it's your first time go with the original burger. Simple but so juicy and delicious. I think the fresh ingredients is really what makes a burger or a sandwich delicious and the juicy patty is the cherry on top. 100% would recommend to anyone local and/or visiting. Their fries are ok but the ones with toppings are again phenomenal! The pickled onions on them are a perfect addition to the salty fries and bacon! Their onion rings are also delicious and the dipping sauce they come with are is perfect dipping sauce for them. I dipped my extra fries in it too! The price is great for Hawaii too, not cheap but not too expensive either. Will definitely be going again. Picture is of the bacon fries with pickled onions."

"What I heard was popular was the waffle dog but I didn't have it.. It's a small menu very clean with a separate shave ice and poke counter. 10 stall parking on the property with some street parking. Hawaii's favorite kitchen is operated by the same owner as Rainbow drive-inn there connected. Handicap accessible no restroom inside but around the corner at Rainbows. I had the chili bowl and it was ok but didn't knock my skirt up. Aloha"
