"The food is good enough for 3 stars in my opinion. I ordered the hokkien noodle, which is saucy (I asked for the saucy one, not the dry one) and flavoursome, but the schezuan green bean with mince beef lacks the punch (should be spicier). The place (interior) is decent but the floor is sticky. Service is friendly."

"Busy little restaurant with nice staff. We always order the lemongrass beef with red rice, quinoa and greens. The food is always nice and we’ve been here many times. I would definitely recommend this place"

"Prior to trying Miss Chu, I hadn't really had any exposure to vietnamese cuisine so I don't really have a benchmark to compare it to."

"Headed down to our beloved Noodle Kingdom for a dumpling fix and was surprised to find the swanky new Mr Kwok in it's place. A quick look at the menu found some of our favourites still on offer so we decided to give it a go, then sat down to investigate what happened. A quick look at their FB page says "Noodle Kingdom - the next generation" but unfortunately for us, the bits they spruced up couldn't make up for their major let down - a panfried pork dumpling fail. What they got right: At first glance the flash decor looks appealing (Noodle Kingdom was dying for a refresh) but the floating walls have tightened up the space giving it a feel more claustrophobic than cosy. Maybe it's early days but the clear lack of customers and usual boisterous banter also made it feel a bit sterile. The place needs to get worn in a little bit. Service was excellent - couldn't fault it, and the revamp of a few dishes on the entree list like the salt n pepper chicken ribs and sweet n sour pork were both pretty and delicious. What they got wrong: Oh the dumplings! Gone is the plateful of golf ball sized pan-fried juicy pork goodness we used to watch being made in the window - replaced with 6 forlorn little half moons, more cabbage than piggy. *insert sad face here*. Then to add insult to our injury the spring onion pancake came out last - chewy, cold, overdone. Bugger. Comment from the boy - "I feel like I haven't eaten".I have no doubt Mr Kwok will be a delight for some and hopefully find a new following. For old patrons though it might be time to move up to Little Bourke for a new quick and dirty."
