"Take away, responsibly priced. I had Chicken Tikka masala, pillow rice, garlic naan, my wife ordered a vegetarian dish and takka darl and is fussy but we both really enjoyed the meal. Delivery included. We will be ordering from here again."

"We have eaten in the restaurant but tend to get a ‘take away’ and having enjoyed yet smother delicious offering this Saturday thought I should spread the word! Never disappoints! The curry always arrives piping hot and every dish is delicious! Also, always something extra included, last week extra poppadums and this, Bombay Aloo, such a nice touch! Looking forward to next week!!! All in all a nice family restaurant, definitely worth a try!!"

"The bristol raj has now reopened. this was our first visit after shutting off the lock, but we were often before. first, they have deeply cleaned and removed the table cloths so that they can wipe between the customers. they wear face masks when they serve them and run a visitor's book as required by the directive. the restaurant was sadly empty and needs its support. I'm sorry that previous posters had a bad experience. honestly, apart from nutmeg in clifton, which is significantly more expensive, we find bristol raj to be the most consistent and tasteful. you just have to find your favorite and then you're in the curry sky! we had the raj murgh. yes, it did not quite meet the description and was sweet, but was full of large pieces marinated chicken breasts and had a Tamarind sauce with fenugreek finish. it has mango chutney in to thicken, not msg, and tasted beautiful. it was mild, not the 2 chili rating, but they can easily repair. the best for me is the king prawn chilli chingra murg (I think it is called). large juicy garnels, beautiful sauce loaded with finger chili, it is like a chili minenfeld! my fave. they have kingisher on tap and also have bottles of other drinks. they are also in order when they bring themselves! In summary we think that the bristol raj is far better than others before place. it is a very basic place, but the prices reflect this. they get very good quality eating and a warm welcome."

"We have a take away around once a week as a treat. We have used Balti Raj amongst others . Last Friday they surpassed themselves. We ordered the meal deal for two which at £16.00 including delivery is excellent value for money. We split the chicken tikka and onion bhaji starters between us, plenty of salad and raita along with poppadums along with a portion of bombay aloo. The main courses were chicken and mushroom balti for me, chicken tikka sag for him. Mine was perfect for me, I cannot remember when I last enjoyed a meal that much, either eat in or take away. We had a meal delivered from Balti Raj the previous week and let them know when we ordered Friday that we had found it too oily. They thanked us for the feedback and said they would ensure our meal would not be too oily. True to their word it was bang on. Delivery was within the 45 minutes they advised and the delivery driver is always so polite. You have to speak as you find and we all have our own personal tastes and preferences. This meal met all my expectations and we will definately continue to use Balti Raj."

"My boyfriend and I, visited Jasmine last night at around 10.00 PM for a late dinner. The restaurant is such a hidden gem! We loved the family ambiance, and warm welcome. We were greeted with a smile, promptly handed menus and seated. Despite the restaurant closing in an hour, we were not made to feel rushed and nothing was too much of a problem. We ordered the Thai Fish Cakes, Lemon Fish, Chicken Green Curry and Tom Yam Soup.The fish cakes were perfect! A great sharing size. The curry was one of the best curries I have ever had. The perfect combination of flavours. The Lemon Fish (sea bass) was nice, but I found that it lacked flavour. I am so pleased that we visited yesterday. We will definitely be returning! I also have a severe nut allergy and the restaurant were so accommodating. We cannot wait to go back!"

"Very good authentic food and a limited but very nice choice of vegan dishes. If you are like me and cannot decide just go for the Thali and try all the dishes at once! Perfect for a leisurely dinner or a quick lunch between meetings or train journeys from Liverpool Street Station. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Big bonus: warm towel to wipe your hands and face afterwards! No curry stains left on you!"

"Started with pundits after the first lockdown and can no longer highly recommend eating and service. always a friendly service and happy to see us whether we can takeaway or deliver it. good price-performance ratio large portioning but high-quality eating. the delivery is always on time or comes before the estimate they give. occasionally gave us a free bottle of wine or beer that was a really nice gesture. all in all, one of the best Indian outliers in cheltenham!"
