"Found this pub after walking over the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan. Lovely spot to stop for a bite to eat and a few pints. It's an old-school local bar with a great atmosphere. "My experience was a good one; customer service was terrific. I thought I was in a different country for a moment, couldn’t believe I was in the U.S! As for the food, the oxtail was ok, tender, and flavorful. The jerk chicken had a good flavor but not a good texture, it seemed like it was sitting too long, and it was tough and dry, yet it was drowning in “gravy!” It’s missing that grilled crispy texture that a broiler or grill would give. I would go back and eat in I want to try their other dishes."

"Solid food in Brooklyn Heights. There are a few things that keep it from 5-Star status: it’s very drafty on any side of the restaurant in the path of the door — and by drafty I mean freezing even in front of the fireplace. The soups are lacking in salt and the amount of things they ran out of were a bit off-putting (2 desserts, liqueur). For $200+ for two people, these things should not be an issue. But overall a good experience."

"I love it here. Shayna our waitress was attentive even though it was busy when my partner and I visited. We had the mac and cheese, NY strip, cauliflower fritters, and beef stew. All were amazing. I love the cozy atmosphere. If we lived closer we'd frequent this pub."
