"So originally made my first purchase from this place through delivery on doordash, though the food took over an hour to be delivered when it arrived the chicken was still hot and even the waffles as well. My first purchase was 8/12/21.Now yesterday on 8/20/21, I decided to do a pickup because I was in the area, When I first went in the extremely small restaurant like barely enough room for standing, you cannot see them prepare package do anything to your food which made me a little ewww. However, I was still excited because when i first tasted their good it was amazing. So I ordered the same sweet chili chicken wings and birthday cake waffles, then added an order of grits with cheese and shrimp and a order of mango habernero wings with Mac n cheese and yams.Now let’s start: the chicken wings were ICE cold as if they were made earlier in the day or even yesterday and they just took them out of the refrigerator. The waffle was over cooked so it gave me more like toast, in additions the birthday cake waffle did not have the frosting drizzled on it like before but a boat load of powder sugar instead. The cheese with grits was shredded cheese on top with enough grits for a family of 4 to eat on top of that they were PLAIN, then the nerve to give only 6 shrimp for the price. Now the wings with Mac n cheese and yams JOKE! The yams tasted like they were taken out of the can and boiled with water DISGUSTING the Mac was also PLAIN. To add it all its a bunch of young ppl in charge we’ll at least the day i was there."

"I have been eating from the place for about 3 years. Even after leaving Brooklyn I make sure to get food every time I go back lol. The sweet garlic salmon is my favorite but it is not available on apps(most people don't know this is a pick up only optionyou order in store, so worth it! . The staff can be a bit dry at times but if you know Caribbean peeple you'll get it lol. TheMac n cheese and yams are heaven I just wish they made collard greens without meat. ????"

"I went on a Tuesday there is a special with happy hour. My friend and I got there around 6ish. It was more than enough time to catch happy hr that ended at 7pm. There was only one waitress and she was taking care of everyone. If you know that Tuesdays is your busiest customer you must have additional workers. When she finally came to our table it was 30 mins later and happy hr was over. I spoke with waitress about the issue and she told me that I will get charge the happy hr price because she knew we where there before 7pm. The food is okay. Once we got the bill the lady had charged us the full price for our drinks. I would not recommend this place I have had better. I would definitely not recommend this establishment."

"Today's visit was disappointing. When I walked in and had to ask how to order was being ignored . Once I placed my order, I used the wrong card for payment. I asked the cashier for a refund to use another method, and she told me. NO, this machine can't cancel orders. When I inquired with another employee, he told me. Only women answered the phones and did cashiering he couldn't help me. Wow. I ordered the catfish dinner, which includes two sides. I got sweet potatoes and collard greens with a small macaroni and cheese. With a slice of hummingbird cake. Well, from my order you should know I'm southern. The catfish is fake. It's not real catfish. Might have been Swai. My girl friends fish was undercooked and needed to be redone. Thank God she noticed before we left the store. The hummingbird cake had no walnuts. The sides were ok. The staff need training on customer service. They ignored my complaints. They walk in the small space carrying heavy objects and don't even use verbal announcements for safety. Wish I took photos. Remember, it's not catfish. I deserve a refund."
