"I came for the lobster roll and I can solidly say it's the best one I've had outside of New England. I tried the Connecticut style lobster roll and it was petite but overloaded with the sweetest, freshest lobster. The bun was nicely toasted. I opted for a Caesar side salad in substitute for the potatoes that come with the roll normally warning the markup price for substitutes is substantially more than the difference in price for side items individually. It was $5 extra to substitute the side salad though the price difference on the menu of sides was $2. We split the Wrecking Ball for dessert an ice cream ball coated with a mixture of toffee, nuts, pretzels and more. We were told that the in house pastry chef makes the toffee, peanut butter cups and other components of the mixture that goes on the ice cream ball. I think four people could split the wrecking ball and each get a nice but not overwhelming amount of dessert. The ambiance of the restaurant is much more casual than I was expecting. This is not a fancy, date night seafood restaurant. It's more like all the casual seafood restaurants in New England, complete down to the menu placemats. Service was polite, quick and accurate. All in all, I very much enjoyed my visit to Hazel's and plan to return soon!"

"Excellent prime rib cooked to order! 4 stars on basic very limited sides (and not great) and just a few (less than average) weine under $35-40/bottle! if you are a non-trinker and especially comes for the steak entree, it's great. we were all very disappointed by the bad wine selections they were from the simi, and another one I asked will probably go somewhere else based on this. Can't you go after kroger and get $10 and cost $20? this she would have got the fifth star, more win and repeat them also customers! very bad show for what a good restaurant could be!"

"The service here was very good, both our server and the hostess were wonderful. We had an enjoyable meal. We had the bang bang shrimp appetizer and enjoyed it. My daughter had the pasta with marinara sauce and ate every bite. She recommends it. My husband ordered the snow crab and it was very flavorful. I had the coastal seafood pasta and I liked mine also. I was pleased that the scallops were not overcooked. And the mussels were very tasty. Give Landrys a try if you haven't been. The atmosphere is nice and the food and service are good!"

"Everything was awesome. The Tomahawk steak, onion rings and Fleming's potatoes was delicious. We loved everything. We forgot to take a picture of the dessert which was the molten chocolate cake. We had a Blueberry Martini and a whiskey sour that was good also. We will definitely be back."

"I got Today's Chowder soup and the Walleye for an entree. The soup was too salty for my taste, and the entree lacked much flavor. For dessert, the bourbon walnut pie was the high point of the meal. Not my favorite place in Birmingham, but worth a try maybe something else on the menu lives up to this place's high reviews."

"Highly recommend. This venue was my introduction to dining in Birmingham and it did not disappoint. No one from my party ordered anything too complicated, burgers, fish, and fries, and it was all good, not great at reasonable prices. Service was superb and the atmosphere was easygoing but classy. I wasn't the biggest fan of the spacing between tables, but that's a minor detail. The craft selection was not robust but had some interesting and delightful offerings. This is a great place to dine.Parking: Parking was not exactly restrictive but the way it is designed is a little of a hassle. It's all street parking and if you're driving on the opposite side of the street there are no turnabouts."
