"1st time here. It was packed. On 08/20/21 We were seated in a timely manner. We looked over the menu, ordered our food. My fiance had the Clamato El Jefe, Medium shrimp cocktail. The clamato el jefe was HUGE the shrimp are very big in both the clamato el jefe the shrimp cocktail (well worth the price. I had the Fish tacos they were okay, the fish was fried and shredded, I also ordered the Camarónes A La Diabla ? I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this dish if you like pretty spicy food. The sauce was REAL spicy flavorful. 2 thumbs way up for this specific dish????? this will be my staple next time I go. For dessert we had the sopapillas fried ice cream. Sadly the sopapillas were hard, covered with a lot of caramel sauce. The best was the fried ice cream. I highly recommend that as well. Expect to spend around $50-$70 for 2 people. ????? Update: went back again in Sept 30, 2021 around 7pm my hubby I had ordered the Molcajete. The shrimp was huge! It was delicious ? ????"

"Today we tried this place for the first time. We came to lunch and sat on the terrace. There is a large terrace seating area with tables that have a beautiful tiled mosaic on them. The service was exceptional. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. She delivered our drinks immediately and kept them refilled without being asked. We ordered the meatball sandwich and the chicken parmigiana sandwich. The sandwiches came with homemade chips on the side. Before our meals were served, we were treated with butter and a plate of balsamico vinegar and oil with fresh bread. Warm, crunchy on the outside and chew jn in the middle. We really enjoyed our lunch. It was quiet and peaceful on the terrace and the breeze was perfect. Would recommend this place to everyone."

"This was a first for our family (2 young adult children) going out to dinner on Xmas eve. The experience was much better than I was expecting. the Prime Rib special was excellent, the filet was done perfectly and the sea bass Ceviche was superb! Service was nice and pleasant! Very important was the clean gluten free experience for my daughter."

"West Steak and Seafood in Carlsbad, CA is THE place to go for quality steaks. The service is excellent and the servers are friendly and professional. I had the Filet Mignon and it was superb! Cooked just the way I asked for it. Paired with a glass of quality red wine it made for an excellent dinner. The sides were plentiful and very tasty. The ambiance is very comfortable; elegant but not stuffy. The dress code is business casual preferred. No shorts or flip flops allowed. I highly recommend West Steak and Seafood for a romantic dinner with the one you love!! I also recommend making reservations!"
