"Since it was a holiday weekend, they SEVERELY restricted the menu to just a few items, including NO green salad or vegetable options. 3 out of our party of 4 were unable to find even one menu option that fit our dietary restrictions. Happily, though the service was very good and our server was able to get the kitchen to provide 2 options that worked for 2 out of the 3 of us. (The 3rd person basically had very little to eat ? The food was pretty mediocre and the dj music playing in the background was SO loud we couldn't hear ourselves think. Okay, so maybe we aren't the right demographic, but... they should have at least let us know ahead of time the menu we thought we would be ordering from wouldn't be available. Not returning pretty much ever."

"I 'm an outlier. Loved the interior of the restaurant (and even the hotel lobby); hated the food. My pork chop came overcooked (i.e., bone dry) and the follow-up one was undercooked. The potatoes were tasteless (if a potato can be tasteless), the side of mushrooms were overcooked, and their signature Kennebec fries were soft, cold, and tasteless. My companion had the ribeye and judged it as edible, but lacking a discernable beef flavor. We both had the cheesecake for dessert, but we didn 't finish them. Service started off fine, but when I mentioned the second pork chop didn 't work, either, it went downhill from there. Loved the interiors and I like old hotels. Classic example of a hotel restaurant touted as being great when, in fact, it is not. Like other reviewers, I love the interiors, but the food is pretty bad. It 's a tourist hotel on Hollywood Blvd. That should have been a clue. Duh."

"This restaurant will not be revisited. Service/Witter was great, but Menu is very limited, from appetizers to the main course. In addition to already a limited menu, 2 items were not available to order Also part of the table was broken under table cloth and hanging all night on my leg. The main dining room was very cold. Again, the only thing that had left us after the drinks and app, the waiter, was very attentive."
