"Update: Sep 2023: Still great food and great service. The special cocktails are awesome. Still highly recommended. My wife and I have been coming here a couple of times in the last 2-3 years and every single time, both the food and the service have been top notch. This time we had the Crispy Calamari to start, and they couldn't be more crispier and tastier. The best calamaris I have had for a while now. Next we had a cup of Gumbo and a Shrimp PoBoy. The gumbo tasted great. The Shrimp PoBoy was great too although it was a little dry and I wish the sauce they used could have been more. Still no complaints though. Lastly, we had the Bread Pudding for dessert. Again, easily the best pudding I have had except maybe for some in New Orleans. Great service as usual and I look forward to coming back soon. "The big fish and chips ordered. That was an order. The frits were large and cooked directly, only a little salt on them. You were very good. The fish was good, but it needed some season. The restaurant is very small, limited seating. The restaurant also has a small shop selling food products from Great Britain, part of the reason why the restaurant had few tables. The food came out quickly, but it was placed in boxes, probably not the best for hot food with frits. I would recommend eating there as going. Just a warning, the big order is a lot. Good for sharing or a very hungry person."

"We were able to go during their $1/1.50 oysters. Service was quick and loved all the flavors. Our favorite was the asian oysters sauce goes so well and addicting! Rockefeller was our least favorite. It had a LOT of bread crumbs along with spinach on top of the oysters which wasn't as good as it looked. Overall, I was super satisfied with the quality and value of the seafood here!"

"Throwback place. Burgers were fantastic, and service was great. They come to your car to take order and bring food out to you. We chose to eat there and they place a tray on your window. Pretty cool throwback location"

"The ribs are the best we've had since Houston's on Beltline disappeared many years ago. The bangbang shrimp and similarly sauced calamari are wonderful lead-ins. The beer is cold (they don't pour Velvet Hammer is those miserable little 5 ounce snifters, but in a full sized glass! , the wine list well chosen, and we've never had room for dessert but I'd bet that's A List, too. Service is routinely professional. You get what you pay for and for us it's worth every penny."

"I loved this place and ordered the black cat poor boy, I was a regular, 1 to 2 times a week. But suddenly they refused to do it and said my only choice was kicked forward. So I'm going to Flying Fish to get my black poor boy. I hope they will make sure to offer a healthier choice for this sandwich."
