"Not a common combination but the Olde Towne Bistro & Oyster Bar delivers wonderful dishes made from the best ingredients at a price that is very affordable. We were regular visitors to its previous incarnation as Lucien, but this was our first visit since Simon rebranded his restaurant. Last night my wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner and exceptional service. You should go there. This is what bistro style eating is really all about."

"Great server (Lou). Food was pretty standard for a steakhouse (seafood platter and nice sirloin) but Brussels bowl side was super salty. Very good coconut cream pie. For a Saturday night at 7pm restaurant was eerily empty. Maybe a third full. Decor also feels dated and tired. We likely won’t be back."

"I got a call from Tom George to say they wouldn't serve brunch during the summer months, only dinner. The hostess was very nice and asked me to postpone dinner which I did. The hostess also offered my group a round of drinks for the inconvenience. So I arrived at the restaurant at 6 p.m. on Sunday because I wanted to celebrate Father's Day with my family and the restaurant was closed. We were very surprised and disappointed. The restaurant didn't call the next day and I decided not to eat there again. So I went to the LA Chapter at the Ace Hotel on Sunday and we had a lovely dinner that I knew I would because I've been there before. I don't know whose responsibility it is at the open table to be sure that the information about a restaurant is current and accurate, but nothing like this has ever happened to me in a restaurant."

"REALLY good food and REALLY good service! Would highly highly recommend. Every single item we had tasted amazing. The cheesecake looked and tasted different from normal cheesecake, but it was still fantastic. The service was also superb; they cleaned our table between courses and someone was always present to fill our waters. I honestly don’t have anything bad to say about this place."

"We frequented all the Boulud restaurents in NYC , the Bistro in upper east side always a favorite of ours ( Benoit on 55 st is the other superb Bistro in NYC ) We were excited a few years ago when Boulud opened in Toronto , the dinner that time was average and the decor kind of unimpressive . They underwent some innovation and when we visited Toronto recently , we went again . The decor much better , a softer touch , roomy then NYC . The menu is ok , can be more innovative , they offered the usual stuff , nothing out of the ordinary . No pigeons , no turbot , no , Dover sole , items we were looking for . May be a soufflé will light up,the desert menu ! As a whole still a pleasant and improved experience , but we expect more from Boulud ."
