"Great food, great staff, bad parking. Probably the best sushi joint in San Diego, not cheap but definitely great value for the quality of the food."

"Beautiful location right by the beach and Belmont Park. Food was delicious and I got plenty for my money. I had leftovers for sure. But I couldn't stop eating till I was full. The waitress was attentive and very sweet. The Only downside was the lack of decor and it was stuffy inside.Food: 5/5"

"We ordered sushi, pho, and poke. The food was fresh and flavorful. You can really see the excellence in the details. Every slice was on point and the flavor pairings were creative. The servers were very friendly and service was speedy. Definitely enjoyed and look forward to future visits!"

"Every time I go here I feel like family. The staff is SO friendly and I feel so much positive energy while I'm there. The food is exceptional! The owner has recommended several dishes and I'm blown away each time. 10/10 all day every day."

"This place has been a staple for my group to go eat after Comic Con on the last night. This year we went and it was a welcome treat after not going for so long. I missed it! They have a great amount of yakitori and most us delicious. I felt like the squid had no flavor, but the liver, asparagus wrapped in bacon, and quail eggs were delicious. I also had the mixed tempura which had a light battery and a wonderful dipping sauce. There is quite a bit of parking in the lot. Be patient on the wait to be seated as they are usually very busy."

"We like this place a lot. Mostly because servers are sweet and the prices are neat. Pre-inflation prices for delicious rolls? our favorites are the Ninja and the Flaming Hey Lee. I wouldn?t recommend the curry or the udon. The rice in the curry is not great and the udon was just fine. But the rolls are good value. This is a nice low key, casual place. Quite nice!"

"The general area at Tajima consists of Chinese, Korean, Thai, and other Japanese restaurants but this shines in contrast with the other Asian restaurants on Convoy St. I highly recommend the Yakisoba Omelette and Yakiudon. Their okonomiyaki (Japanese pancake) is also quite good, just ask them to go light on the sauce. The bonito flakes look like they’re alive when you first get your dish, but fear not, it’s just a reaction to heat. One thing I noticed is the bilingual clientele. They are mostly Japanese, and the wait staff are all Japanese as well. I think this is one of the few Japanese restaurants that are actually owned by Japanese. I think the only flaw is that they play too much mainstream American pop music- not too loud. It’s definitely a good place to go dating. They have two flat screen TVs as part of the decoration- it’s always showing something interesting; natural scenery, wildlife, and such."
