"Its about a 10 minute wait for a menu, another 15 for a drink order, another 10 til you get your drinks, another 20 before you place your meal order, another 20 before you get your food or another drink. So 1 hour and 15 minutes to get food. When finished and you ask for your check plan on 20 minutes. You easily could take 3 hours to have diner. They need to hire another server. One server for this nice of a restaurant is not enough."

"Drinks were 2 for 1 while we ate out dinner, Lalo himself was a super nice fellow and he was quite entertaining when cooking my shrimp..... Good place to try for sea food.....If you get the chicken. Make sure you tell him not to make it spicy... His marinara sauce has chili peppers in it...... Great if you like the heat but if you are like my wife....Not so much.... He did make some plates up with no spices ... No issue....."

"Staff were super nice, Freddy and Chava. Fish tacos came with 3 tacos (teriyaki/pineapple), salad and rice. Octopus cocktail was big and done right, yum. Great location on the beach and really good mango margaritas. We walked by one day and mentioned we would come back the next day because it was my sister's birthday and when we showed up they gave her a birthday cake with a candle. So sweet. Prices aren't bad for the beach."

"Restaurant familiar en playa las gatas. Fue la mejor comida en nuestra estancia en Zihua, un lugar incrible para pasar el dia. Lo mejor fueron las tiritas de pescado, pero todo lo que comimos tenia un gran sabor."

"Went here on a tour from the hotel. Of course (it's Mexico!) the guy driving the van turns out to be the owner of the restaurant. Tour included a fish filet dinner and a drink. I asked to change to fish tacos, said I'd pay the difference-big mistake! I was charged 7 bucks CAD/70MP for 3 tiny tortillas and way less actual fish than the others were eating! Looked like exactly the same meal, rice, everything! Only difference was I had a thimble of fish spread across tiny tortillas, versus a huge filet! The food was good though. Then, after a beach walk I had a pina colada and it was 8 bucks. Not normal in these parts! The owner chatted me up and was very interested in where I've been, how big my house is, how often do I vacay, etc. Fyi, there are different prices for Mexicans-the Air Canada rep at my hotel knew I spoke Spanish and put me on a "Mexican" tour and refunded me $28. Thank you Luis! The Cabana owner was greasy and all about cash. The location is great, toward the quieter end of the beach and when the tide is high you literally have your toes in the water and a drink in your hand if you grab one of the front row chairs. But you can get that at any of the restaurants along the beach. Lots of places to choose from! My advice would be to go it alone on the water taxi and choose your own restaurant!"
