"20 July 2017<br/ <br/ After planning to dine at Tobaki Korean BBQ my brother-in-law says he would prefer to dine at Taste of Penang which is 20 metres away. We sit at a vacant table and I order five dishes to try. <br/ <br/ It is quite busy tonight and it is 30 minutes before the Har Mee (Prawn Noodle) and Char Kueh Teow are served. Unlike my last meal here, the Har Mee serving is once again a 'full ' bowl of noodles. Rating: 4.5/5.0 <br/ The Char Kueh Teow serving is 30% larger than last month 's serving. And the noodles are delicious with the fragrant 'wok hei ' aroma. <br/ Rating: 5.0/5.0<br/ The Lobak tonight is the most authentic I have tasted in Brisbane. <br/ Rating: 4.5/5.0<br/ The Chicken Satay is well seasoned and is tender and flavoursome and complemented with a delicious peanut sauce. <br/ Rating: 4.5/5.0<br/ The Curry Chicken Potato Curry Puffs are well made and flavoursome. Problem is there was no chicken but heaps of potato in the filling.<br/ Rating: 3.5/5.0<br/ <br/ Overall a most satisfying $51 meal for two people. I ask Management to maintain a decent serving size if you would like to retain your regular customers. The overall rating increases from 4.0 to 4.50/5.00<br/ <br/ <br/ Mid-June 2017<br/ <br/ It 's been six months since my last visit to Taste of Penang. Today being Brisbane 's third consecutive cold wet day I wanted my Mum to get out of the house and have a walkabout. So we arrived at 12.30pm and it was obvious the rain was keeping diners away as only half the tables were occupied. <br/ <br/ Our favourites here are the Char Kueh Teow (Fried Flat Rice Noodles) and the Har Mee (Prawn Noodle Soup). Mum also likes the Otak-Otak, a Nyonya spiced steamed scrambled egg with herbs and pieces of fish. <br/ <br/ The Char Kueh Teow arrived after 10 minutes. It was good, however, the serving had reduced by 20% since my last visit. The Har Mee was next and this soup noodle only filled 70% of the bowl. Though it tasted fine I was disappointed by this small serving. Despite being still hungry I gave the Otak-Otak to my Mum to fill up. <br/ <br/ I believe these noodle dishes at Mama Malaya are of the same standard but the servings there are much larger. So for now its adios Taste of Penang until your serving size improves. My rating for this restaurant reduces from 4.5 to 4.0"

"This tiny cafe/restaurant serves authentic and good value Malaysian food. We shared a seafood laksa, fried noodles, assam fish with rice and the chicken wings and it was all delicious!! We'll be back to try some more dishes soon!!"

"A family birthday at Glamorous Wok in Sunnybank Plaza, Brisbane proved excellent. Make sure you book before venting this facility, otherwise you could not board! The restaurant was also busy this Sunday night! In “Herzland” Sunnybank...a la Asia a visit to GW was authentic and rewarding. I made the order to my SIL as a menu was exciting and big, and of course Chinese style. Interesting Chinese ambience / photography etc. We ended up with delicious crumb roasts, a delicious fish dish, chicken rice and fresh Chinese vegetables all a delicious blend of taste and experience! Date tea was tried, rather sweet, but nice. The big restaurant was very busy, maybe with high pressure I would even say, but the staff has copied efficiently. Large parking space right outside, but warn it will be busy and soon filled."

"Had a quick lunch here Street of Garden City on Easter Monday public holiday. Due to the previous closed for trading on ANZAC day, there were lots of shopper around that made the traffic extremely busy.<br/>It was our vegetarian day so ordered a bowl of hot sour soup, veg spring rolls, steamed veg dumplings and chive pancakes.<br/>Dumplings and pancake were made to orders so it took a little longer time to wait. Having said that food kept their consistent standard and the chive pancakes were heroes of the day. They became our a-must order next time. <br/>Previous rating: Nov Feb Aug"

"Friendly and efficient staff. Burgers are decent and I like the Iced Tea with their meals as opposed to soft drink. Not sure about the ketchup with chips as condiment, but that's just me."

"First impression was great. Lovely atmosphere, looks clean, classy and smells good.If you go on weekend, there's buffet option of 34.90$/person with 100min limit. Additional 10%off if you arrive before 6pm and leave by 7:30pm. So we tried the buffet option.Food is generally okay, but not outstanding. There're 4 types of beef and 1 pork options, no seafood or vegetable for BBQ. Ox tongue is probably the only thing I like, and everything else is quite blend. Buffet doesn't include lettuce or rice and it's additional 5$ each to buy. Ample amount of kimchi , cabbage salad and a few more. I found friend chicken, potato fries and gems too, but didn't try.Well, I might go again on a weeknight and try the non-buffet option next time to see if it's better. But I wasn't overly happy with my experience there."
