"Great and cozy place for lunch and dinner or just for a beer or drink. from outside and within the pearl they have views of the marina with all the beautiful boats. eating is excellent and service fast. the prizes are okay. very busy in. the summer time, so will come back to book a table."

"Fik et stort stjerneskud. lidt skeptisk for wære ærlig. men det blew satme gjort til skamme. aldrig har jeg fået så godt et stjerne skud, det hele spillede, discringen på fisken, hjemmerørt dressing det smagte af heavenlen, og ristet franskbrød. bestmt ikke sidste gang jeg spiser her. hvis jeg kunne give 6 stjerne havde de fået det"

"Carl Frederik is a grill bar so don't expect gourmet. Hot dogs, Fish, burgers etc are the order of the day. The service is friendly but most of the time you need to collect your own food which is not unusual. The hot dogs are great and the french fries are even better. Beer is available and there is an ice cream bar there as well. A nice place to have a snack while passing through Hals."

"Met friends who just sailed into the harbour. Went for the excellent pulled duck and chips. Followed by icecream and Coffee. Icecream was great, specially the dark chockolate. Frozen chockolate icicles inside. Would have rated five but Deserten had no cones for icecream and the espresso machine was out of order. And yes bottle of wine costs only 150 DKK which ofsets the 80 DKK average price per dish. The portions are very generous."
