"I've eaten and been entertained at La Bodega for years, as one of my favorite restaurants in Ajijic. Family owned and operated by Javier and Marta, and many of their wait=staff have been there for years as well. One of my three favorite musicians in...the world often plays there, Jim Barto, a world-class musician who has lived in the area for years. Jim Barto can make any brass instrument I've seen him tackle, talk, sing, cry--and he can improvise and accompany anybody singing or playing, making just about anybody sound good. Ask Javier when you call, when Jim Barto is playing. Stan does a good job of karaoke jockeying as well, usually once a week. Not to leave out the good food, good service, good ambience, and decent prices--those are part of why I always wind up at La Bodega, anytime I'm in the area, starting in 2002, and ending so far in January, 2020!"
