"The special atmosphere is recreated through the ambience of the modern renovated former coal recovery factory. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. The food is very well cooked and composed. There is not a wide choise of the dishes, but the daily list can satisfy every demand. There is always a 5-course menu available. Also they have a nice wine list from all over the world. Very nice and new experience, really loved the athmosphere of quitness and frozen force of the old technology."

"Nice and simple Ramen place. Not your fancy place, but rather an unassuming one with a cozy, welcoming, authentic atmosphere. We were in Friday evening peak time, around 19:00, and lucky enough to find one of the last free tables. The staff is really nice and helpful, however it felt as if they were a bit overwhelmed. The Ramen is very tasty, and I do believe this place is as close as you can get in Essen to Düsseldorf's little Tokyo. Worth mentioning that they don't take reservations or card payments. So first come first served cash only place. Would anyway return to this place as it was a pleasure! Later edit, card payment has been made possible in the meantime, however only with EC card."

"A suburb of Trattoria, as you at least want it. Italian cuisine without snorkel fresh products fair prices. After the daily fitness training I always reward myself with a restaurant visit in the evening and after the last visit of the gourmet mile in Zollverein it should be a bit more defensive today. So I went to La Terrazza, where I was happy once. The nice waitress who had served me 2 months ago at my last visit also recognized me kindly and left me on Sunday evening to choose a table on the window front, the choice of free tables is always a little bigger. Immediately I received the menu card that introduces several good bottle wines at prices from 14,50 € to 19,50 €, I would like to try one or the other, but alone and by car it only remains with a glass of open wine. I find such a pricing very sympathetic also in Italy calculate good restaurants so fair. My Merlot 0.2l € 3,50 was neatly a small pellegrino € 2, 2 pizza rolls along with pleasant herbal butter and a bowl of Bruschetta, so only the edition came a little later, as always I am somewhat disappointed if I cannot take a bit before the 1. Schluckwein, but also the pizza rolls were freshly prepared. The food Quickly came the ordered small Ocean Salat € 6, consisting of different leaf salads, some paprika, cold green beans, carrot carvings, not too many onions and above a standard seafood mixes, shrimps, Calamaretti, tuna with the dressing I want. Usually 3 stars. I had to leave half the salate because I hadn't done the second gear anymore. The main course came after a small delay: flat thin pig chips approx. 170 grams under a cream sauce with wonderfully fresh mushrooms with 6 half roasted potatoes along with roasted slices of crunchy zucchini and carrots simple, natural, without dice, but class. Those who do not expect a star kitchen in a typical suburb of Trattoria will be very satisfied here. The ambience of the Helle friendly furnishings without Kitsch large window front pleasant seating, but perhaps nothing for a romantic evening. Cleanliness As clean as you can expect that no toilet visit takes place."
