"Rang well in advance to book a table for 8 on a Monday night and was told they can’t take the booking because it puts to much pressure on the staff to handle a group of this size ? They could take 6 . Really...? I presume if we booked 2 tables of 4 that would be ok . Weird … they are still serving 8 people regardless of where they sit . Funny attitudes from restaurants these days . You would think they would be happy with the custom . Perhaps they are going so well they don’t need our patronage . Oh well … somewhere else … sure they will welcome us ."

"Fish chips by the seaside is pretty much mandatory when you 're married to an Englishman. The selection of dishes is really good I opted for seafood delight and he had snapper chips . With a small coke and tartar sauce it came to a shocking price of $40.50. For that I expect perfection. Sadly the overall experience was a huge disappointment. Whilst the fish was perfectly cooked everything else was subpar. The batter was thin and not crispy at all, the tartar sauce was positively the worst I 've ever had (I suggest they Google a recipe to at least try to get close to what it should be like) and the chips were soggy. Even the seagulls weren 't interested! Also I hated the announcement of ready meals over the speaker system it gave a school dinner hall atmosphere to the place. The beeping buzzer was bad enough. I think the people who have rated it high are those who got fresh seafood from the fish market part of the business."
