"My wife and I ate at Ammos twice during our week in Agios Georgios. Like most of the tavernas in the town, the food was both excellent and very reasonably priced. We shared a fish platter as a main on our first visit, which was €28 and could have easily fed four. We didn’t get anywhere near finishing it, but the lovely owners kindly boxed up the remainder for us to take home. The mushrooms we had to start were delicious, likewise the homemade baklava for dessert. We returned for lunch on our last day and both had the chicken gyros, which was very generous and delicious for only €5 each. We’d definitely eat here again if we return to Agios Georgios, which I’m sure we will."

"Fresh mussels, tasty food. The prices are really good. For example the pasta marinara is 12,5€. The restaurant is located on the beach, so the atmosphere is wonderful. Nice stuff. I’ll come back for sure"

"Amazing location and views. We went from Gouvia, who was a nice walk through the marina in the evening and only took about 30 minutes. The staff was very friendly and very courteous. If you can get a table next to the water because it is the best look at the boats and you can watch how the fish swim! The food came quickly and was beautifully presented, honestly the best seafood I ever had - all fresh and full of taste. Would also recommend getting some appetizers instead of a large meal. We had octopus in vinegar, Calamari (real crispy and tasty), grilled shrimp (one must have), the roula salad (has octopus, shrimps and small white fish), and amazing homemade chips, tzatziki and bread. All washed with local red wine, which was also amazing. Would you go back 100%, and if you're in the area, it must try, you can't judge them high enough!"
