"Came here for late lunch around 3:30pm while most restaurants in in this plaza took a break. Pros: 1. Stay open with no break, from 8am-9:30pm 2. Traditional breakfast items available during weekdays too 3. I tried the clear broth wonton soup, delicious with little dried shrimps and seaweeds 4. Accept credit card even $20 5. Fast and friendly service"

"Vung Tau II brings back many memories. My first experience with this restaurant is back in the early 1990s on the original Vung Tau in San Jose, when everyone traveled over “mi kho”. Since Vung Tau II was opened in Milpitas, my family has been there for both family dinners and individual portions. I would take all my friends there so that she was Vietnamese food, that was not “pho” and is still a certain must-go when I visit home. The court I lived from was Hu Tieu Nam Vang Kho, but in recent years changed to Hu Tieu Ba Nam Sadec Kho because of the crispy shrimp crackers. Both dishes include clear, slightly chewing noodles, which are covered in their special pork sauce, small pork flours (to be watched), carved pork, shrimps, chives, a small bowl of salty broth and one side of the additional vegetables. The difference between the shells is that the shell contains several normal shrimps and contains a large Jumbo shrimp and also a roasted shrimp cracker. The prices in the restaurant have in recent years sored and Vung Tau in general is one of the priciest “Vietnamese for Vietnamese”, which I was. The prices are actually quite identical to "Vietnamese for American", which are usually the most expensive Vietnamese restaurants. The last time I was in NorCal Vung Tau II a little less expensive than Vung Tau I with the Hu Tieu dishes at $6.95 compared to $7.95. Also note that they charge extra for “kho” dishes. I don't know if this should be the case because it is not listed anywhere in the menu, but they always have an additional fee for it. And falling under stereo type, Vung Tau II has one of the poorest services of any restaurant I've ever been. Since my family eats in many restaurants, we notice the migration of restaurant workers from one place to another and unfortunately Vung Tau II seems to have the worst everywhere. I would always order the same dish, but some as they mix it with someone else or forget to make it “kho.” Be very clear when ordering. Even if they are sitting near the toilets, they will tend to forget you. Ask to sit somewhere in the main room where you are visible. Parking during lunch and dinner hours can be a pain because the restaurant is next to an Asian food supermarket (Lion) and also several other restaurants and shops. 4 stars because I love the food, but not the extra baggage that comes with it."

"We gotta go! I always say I'll try something new, but I love New York Steak. We tried the pizza Margherita and Mozzarella for the first time. Delish! For appetizers we always have to dip the broschetta with tomatoes, parmesan, basil, olives and olive oil. So fresh and sweet, but a beautiful bang from the olives. We also tried the Fatuccine Portofino, which had embellished Jumbo yarns and shrimps with garlic, shallots and brandy in prawn Fume Alfredo sauce. Definitely could not finish the plate. The portion sizes are big here and always have enough to go home. Starting bread and garlic butter is also so good. It's pretty busy here, but we've always set ourselves pretty fast or we've been telling the waiting time before time. Nice trip for 2 or the family. Definitely recommend!"

"Food was ok. They told us that the kitchen will be close at 10PM That’s why we’re ok with starting to eat at 915pm, around 940pm they told us that the kitchen is about to close and 3 min after that we couldn’t order more. It wasn’t my favorite place but they’re super nice and there’s good vibes there. I do recommend to try it and see if you like it. I’m not gonna go back."

"The food tasted ok but it was not hot enough. We had to keep reminding the waitress of things we needed"
