"We came back here after a couple of years and it is still very good. The fish and seafood are very very good. It is worth the money. Many local people were having lunch or Dinner there as well which often speaks for the quality... authenticity of the food. First we did not want to go there because of the bad reviews- but thank God we still did trusting our previous experience. This is one of the best seafood fish restaurants we have been to. You cannot make reservations. Just go there early. We will come back definitely."

"If you want a nice authentic place to have excellent seafood, this is the place to be. Grilled seafood, amazing big shrimps, perfectly prepared squid. All for a very reasonable price. The service was also very good and the waitress was very kind. I love...Porto!!!"

"I was in tune for some tapas, but the experience was not so good. below I noticed: service, cold and efficient. although we arrived early (about 7PM) and the only table for a long time was difficult to draw attention. to get the waiter. a simple order, like a koks or a beer, could get 10 or more minutes to be satisfied smell: since the first moment in which we entered the restaurant, an unpleasant smell had occurred, I could not clearly see what the ground was, but was a mixture of smoke and something other unknown; no payment with cards. they do not have any communication about it, but they do not accept any payments through bank cards, and the next cash machines are at least a few km away, and they are closed at 9pm, so after they are screwed: we ordered a few different dishes to try, and one of 2 were almost untouched returned due to poor quality, the waiter did not notice or did not care about eating returned untouched; food quality is very bad, not only ingredient quality, but also the way they were cooked. a strange thing was also that we found the same kind of bone in 3 different directed, and none of them should have it. one was chorizo, the other was the oos rotos (fritte eggs, chourizo and pommes) and the third moelas (hähnchengizzards). very strange! the best points: the location, near the beach. should I change? not gone?"

"The restauerant was empty when we passed it, but we decided to try it anyway. We had their Dom Luis cod special which did not dissapoint us. It was a well balanced dish with a perfectly cooked cod. Dessert was a very standard crema leite and a sub standard pudding. Worth a visit."

"Taberninha do manel is the perfect place to have dinner near porto cellars and the douro river. the restaurant is definitiw not tasty, but the meals were quite tasty and the ambiente was really great. a cheap restaurant for tourists travelling on a budget. I tried the Francesina sandwich that is only served in porto. it was okay, but next time I'll try fishing."
