"Do not be fooled by the grand decor. Food quality and service at dim sum have declined significantly since its opening a few years ago. Durian pastry 2/5 Shrimp dumplings (Har Gow) 3/5 Scallop shrimp dumplings w/ veggie 2/5 Sticky rice w/ chicken lotus...leaf wrap 3/5 Chicken feet w/ chef 's sauce 2/5 Beef tripe w/XO Sauce 2/5 Shrimp vegetable steamed rice roll 3/5 Sweet egg yolk layer cake 2/5 Taro mushroom dumpling N/A Hot sauce mustard 2/5 Once seated, I pushed my napkin under one leg to stabilize the uneven table. Dessert was served first for some strange reason. The durian pastry was under sweetened, weak in durian flavor and looked homemade due to the poor craftsmanship. The har gows and steamed rice rolls were unremarkable. The scallop shrimp dumplings tasted cheap and looked homemade (poor wrap quality, hideous green coloring, hardly any scallop shrimp). The sticky rice was average (dry and bland). The chicken feet were underseasoned and a touch too sweet. The beef tripe was appallingly chewy, and made worse by larger than bite sized pieces. The tripe could have benefited from longer cooking time as well as more thorough cleaning to rid of all odor. The sweet egg yolk layer cake was under sweetened and too heavy on the egg yolk. The taro and mushroom dumplings were canceled since the kitchen forgot about the order. Even the hot sauce and mustard were below average, like the service. Bill: $60 before tip (ouch)"
