"A lot of people might disagree but you're not reading this for anything but an honest review. Here is why it gets 3 stars:FLAVOR*NYC is home to many pizzerias, and this one is not by all means the best. If you had to categorize the flavor, it's a heavier and heartier flavor of frozen pizza you get at any convenience store (round pizza not Sicilian). When you bite into a slice, there are 2 flavors: the initial sauce taste and some kind of after flavor which then reminds you of freezer pizza. I ate my slices really hot and it doesn't change this experience. The colder the pizza the more predominant the freezer pizza flavor. *the Sicilian is overwhelming because it's covered in Parmesan and has no cheese. The sauce and Parmesan combo was heavy enough that it could make a lactose intolerant person run after one bite. *some pizzerias are very heavy on the salt and tomato sauce from a can, but theirs is particularly light on both (if any used at all). This is a plus but once your brain registers this is similar to frozen pizza, the satisfaction of eating it is ruined.TEXTURE*Sauce is thick enough it can be doubled as something you throw over pasta.*cheese tastes like fresh mozzarella and not the kind some pizzerias use which has a heavier salt flavor. However the cheese doesn't break easy so you will be fighting to break it and could possibly burn yourself if eating it hot. *bread on both Round and Sicilian is light but fluffy with enough bake to hold the contents together. Bread is also not massively covered in flour like it it was still being baked. AVAILABILITY *this is probably one of the positives of this establishment. With businesses adapting to closing early because of CV19, this place is open later than most pizzerias and its plus as to how big of a lot they have to eat. Kudos for keeping late hours.QUALITY*if you're sensitive, I would qualify this as a better slice to eat because the ingredients seem authentic enough to avoid making you feel like your cholesterol shoots up or you swallowed 10 slices of bread a slice because of the dough. *pepperoni is underwhelming and does not taste like the quality some other establishments have begun to source. Reference to Table 87 or Grimaldi's. PRICE*considering inflation and not having an understanding of their overhead costs for land, business expenses and quality of ingredients, the flavor and price just don't align. I would say the pizza is worth $15 a round pie and $19 a Sicilian and not $26 a round pie as that's the starting point for margarita pies which are more worth the dollar. Hope you find this review helpful. I personally would seek out other locations, but wouldn't say no if it was later in the night and had no other choice. The taste is underwhelming and strangely familiar for a price that seems heftier than it's worth."
