"I live too far away from Frank & Gus' Pizza ... I don't get there as much as I would like to or should. Although I have not too many pizzas that I did not like, I would have been hard pressed to say where the best pizza in the area was until I revisited Frank & Gus' after a several year absence. I ordered a small mushroom pizza from my downtown office and was told that it would be ready in 10 minutes ... I am pretty certain that I arrived within about 8 to 9 minutes expecting a bit of a wait but it was ready for me. Now, most people would think that a small pizza is pretty small these days but, as much as it looks like a typical small, it was quite filling. I would say that two people could comfortably consume the small pizza but .. having no one to share with tonight, I ate the whole thing and without regret .. it kept warm over a 10 km drive through the city but of course, after about 8 minutes, I started to eat pieces as I was driving (carefully) .. it was delicious .. amazing .. and one observation that I can't recall in all of my pizza experience is that the pizza was moist in a very good way .. hard to describe but it was refreshing .. well dressed, well laid out .. not to much sauce and not too little .. not at all "cheap" with the mushrooms .. a great experience .. I will be back more often. Now note that Frank & Gus' pizzeria has not redecorated in any significant way over the last 45 or so years .. but who cares .. it is about the pizza amazing pizza (note too that if you call in to order the small mushroom pizza is a little bit less than $15.00 ... probably a bit over the going rate though I mostly make my own pizza and don't buy out that often) .. If that sounds expensive to you folks, I would say that it is well worth the price (and again be cautious about ordering too much premised upon the heartiness of the pizza (yes, an unusual descriptor) ... give it a try!"
