"As a born and raised Windsorite who now lives out of the city, I always enjoy coming home to familiar and cozy spots like Taloola. I have no issue with the food or price. Overall quality is pretty good! The one thing I can’t get over is the general tone of the service I consistently see. For example, my visit on June 17/2022 with some of the staff, it’s like their serving you in an inconvenience or a burden. This is certainly not all the staff but was true of the 2 people who helped me during my otherwise lovely visit. I just can’t shake this observation and I wish it were different. I find there are so many Windsor spots who we all frequent because there limited options but we tolerate mediocre service. We all with that would be different. I’ll continue to visit Taloola to support this lovely local business."

"We recently had my daughter's bridal shower at Wineology in old Walkerville. From the first time I called, followed by two meetings to discuss and sample the food and wine plan, we were extremely impresssed with the care and attention shown by owner/manager JC and his staff. The shower itself left all in attendance very impresssed and raving about the food, wine and service. Thanks to JC, his talented chef and servers Kevin and Nick. If you are looking for a venue for a special occasion, or just a memorable or spontaneous intimate evening, I highly recommend this lovely place."

"Great 100% Canadian beef patents. The Americans may be surprised by the taste/consistency of the burger, but this is because they are used to fat hamburgers in America. Poutine here is also great! Convenient to be able to customize your burger directly there on the order...counter. Harvey's sauce has a little kick."

"We went here one night for dinner with my 3 daughters who are rather picky eaters. they all loved it. some of the best greek food I've ever had. I had to buy their dressing on our way out and the flamming cheese was to die for."

"If you want unbiased same service, don't go here! we have been patronizing this restaurant for decades. sad to say, that looks like it's our last visit. after the church enjoy my man and I enjoy an evening. we were happy to be able to eat again in thanasis. we liked to support them during the shutdown via the takeout. in the did we have to drive 45 minutes to get there and we ate our trip out with still cold weather in a park on ottawa street to enjoy and support. in the decades we had showers, parties, visited high times, celebrated silvester and eaten there monthly. We liked to have a reservation for dinner tonight. we went in and no waitress came to us for almost twenty minutes! even the hostess (also a owner) noticed and said she was regrettable and someone would be right with us. our waitress came by and took our order to sooner too close to us, while I had two flaming cheese on another table illuminated and said I better go back. we ordered it. no brot or water for another twenty minutes. this same waitress has given us in the past bad service (too bad there are others that are wonderful.) problems were slower service, problems with allergies, do not listen or placed attentive to ordering. the table behind us came long to us and our waitress as well as another and a busboy went to bring broth and water to the first person in the party. the rest of the guests appeared later and more broth and water came. of our not. we again signaled the host when our waitress served other tables and not our waitress was too busy chitchatting. another party of six of us and a party of four even noticed that we sat there for a long time without service. we finally left after we were treated as if we had not earned to be there or even exist. the host came out later and said that there was no apology for the bad service we received, but that was it. this type of service can really cost a business. the waitress has obviously not learned from endless errors in pastness, was more instincted to serve others that she knew (like the hostess/owners who ensured that the one table looked after and did not step in to take care of us.) in this day and age the bad service is the last thing a company needs to offer. new Greek restaurants are located in the city. it is time to go and explore what they have to offer."
