"The worst Safeway in sonoma county. deli counter is always rude and doesn't want to help anyone, most unfriendly staff I've ever seen. and Jeff a cashier won't stop whistling at my daughter and my wife every time he's our checker. gross rude and unprofessional behavior all around, will not be returning. this store needs an overhaul from top to bottom"

"We drove through the city and looked for a good Italian restaurant. We found them in a safeway shopping mall. This restaurant specialises in Italian and Greek foods. A great find we thought. I wanted Auberginenparm for dinner. However, the size of the restaurant, I would not pay $25 for a meal without a personal recommendation. I chose a Falafel sandwich, about $15. That was a wise step. The Falafel came with a very small house salad, my choice. The salad was OK. My sandwich was served. The sandwich contained what looked like two pieces of spicy hot dogs. No falafel balls as it would be customary for a real falafel sandwich. The sandwich was badly filled. It was a bad excuse for a Falafel sandwich. I didn't eat the falafel. The sandwich was terrible. It was worth $6.00. No more penny. I could only imagine the quality of Italian cuisine if this was a sandwich specialty. I couldn't complain about the other couple. Run, don't leave this place. Fast food would have been a better choice. PS The waitress was very intoxicating, good and very friendly. She took care of the entire restaurant."

"If you plan to call the pharmacy to inquire about a prescription or have any questions for the pharmacy they won't answer... ever... lol. kinda silly. Pharmacy also only works through one window and lines can get so ridiculous that you're waiting until 10 minutes before 1pm. Then they inform you it's their lunch. Understandable. Everyone's gottuh eat! But it just feels understaffed as a whole (pharmacy and cashiers). It's just a bummer i have to now drive all the way back home, in redwood valley, then come back to lakeport just to see if i can get a prescription or have them send it somewhere closer to me. i wont know if or when it's ready since they don't answer. And i've had prescriptions take 8+ hours to fill... Im sure they do what they can, but the lakeport safeway needs to do better to aid the staff."

"I'm not for hyperboles, but I just had one of the most difficult experiences on Safeway in Union City. It was the entire experience that frustrated me and unwilling to return to any safeway location. The topics started in the Deli department. After leaving the Deli department, I asked to talk to a manager about what happened. The manager, much to my surprise and disappointment, said to me, I know what you describe. This employee repeats the same behavior. I'm not sure if he tried to be sensitive (but inconspicuous), but I thought of myself, How can this be a known behavior and no corrective measures be taken?! I'm not asking for the termination. If the manager had said that we are aware of this behavior and we work with this employee to improve his customer service, then great! I would have stayed happy. I am hopeful that, although I have abandoned purchasing at your location, you can take the loss of my company as an opportunity to prevent other customers from having similar experiences. I've been shopping at this place for years, but if this is how bad customer service gets address, I'm lucky to have other options for food. Just one episode. The above feedback was left with Safeway. I was told that a call is made with me to get more insight. Nothing. No message No message I can see that they monitor their Yelp reviews and leave answers, but the answers seem to be an attempt to mitigate overthrow of negative reviews, oriented to READERS of review, instead of trying to fix the issues of concern to the original poster of review."

"I went to exchange propane gas around 6 pm. First I received one with much rusty handing so I asked him if I could have with a clean one. He said bad words and throw one at the bottom one intentionally to the ground. The tank was laid down and he never picked up. He is skinny tall young man and very rude. I think safeway should teach employee about attitude."

"This was my absolute favorite safeway until i had some returns recently. the lady at customer service named monica was very rude. she kept glaring at me and making rude comments because i had a lot of stuff to return. when i apologized she just stared at me. that's no way that anybody should be treating a customer."
