"When we walked int this place we thought very nice. The table's were set with linen tablecloths(under glass), very clean. Servers were dressed in clean sharp clothes and were groomed very nicely. But it ended there. This not a licensed place and they serve canned soda pop, which was a REAL BIG TURN OFF. They serve ROOM TEMPERATURE WATER with your meal. I didn't even see a hot beverage service area behind the server's area. We were given a menu that was very confusing to the non-eastern indian diner. I told the server that we had never eaten there. He quickly went over the menu. I did not understand the use of "gravy" on the menu. Why would an East-Indian Restaurant serve "gravy" with it's dishes. The menu was very large. I ordered the General Tao Chicken, which was sickly sweet. It was swimming in a soya sauce based syrup. It came with rice. I had to add some chili paste (that was on the table) to cut the taste. My husband had the Shrimp, and that was disappointing. There was no real diner option for one person. I have come to the conclusion that you need a person from that ethnic background to be able to order food from this place."

"Edit 1: As you have requested details, all I can say is that every time we visit Hakka hut, quality goes down from last time visit. Prices are not justifiable if you consider the quantity and quality. I know inflation is the reason for the price but still. Quality is just gone to pathetic from good. Have you eaten your own tandoori fish dish (not sure about the exact name of the dish) ? It was so bad that I can make better fish at home and I am the worst cook you will ever see. Food looks and tastes like it was cooked yesterday. My wife enjoys soup and that was the only reason we came for the last two visits. Both times we regretted it. The staff was nice and helpful as always, no issue on that side. I don't want to get discounts or anything like that but I wish you will focus more on justifying the price to quality and quantity of the food. If the food tastes good, no one complains about the price and if the taste is not good, then that's how you lose customers like me. Hoping to see improvements but until then I can come back and/or recommend anyone else for a visit."

"Lan Hong House is a hidden gem. The outside is very unassuming, and the position next door to The Golden House (very inferior chinese takeaway) is not promising, but in fact the food is outstanding. They have a great selection of chinese, malaysian and thai dishes, all of which (as far as I have sampled) are excellent. Favourites include their lemon chicken, beef rendang and excellent singapore noodles.Try it you won't be disappointed."
