"My wife and I were two Brits in nyc who fancied a curry. As you do. Curry Row seemed the right place and walkable from our hotel, and Malai Marke seemed to have some good recommendations. We were not disappointed. Our local Indian/Bangladeshi restaurant in Ealing, UK, is also Peter Crouch’s favourite (for any football fans), and we always have the same. Lamb dhansak for me and chicken jallfrezi for my wife. We eat this everywhere, so for our own tastes, we are connoisseurs! The Malai Marke versions were truly exceptional. And the great thing was you could see the chefs at work, and the lines of spices at their disposal. Terrific food, homely atmosphere and very nice service."

"I struggle to give this three or four stars because it is my neighbourhood joint, but the food is a hit or a miss. Usually order The Pad Thai and a couple of curry dishes from here, and every now and then they’re great but then sometimes they are not… they actually used to have a great peanut dumplings which they stopped awhile back. It’s gotten a little more expensive but it’s in my neighbourhood and we try to encourage those businesses"
