"Visited The Eagle today for lunch with my mother and a friend. Food arrived and as it was placed in front of me, the first thing I noticed was a long black hair wrapped around a fry (we are all blonde). I notified the waitress who said nothing but promptly took the plate away to the kitchen. A few minutes later my plate was returned and I was informed my fries had been replaced (not the whole meal). My burger had now cooled down quite a bit but as we were short on time, I ate it. Having worked in hospitality, when our bill arrived, as a gesture, I had expected something (my drink, my meal, or a portion of it at least) to be taken off. I understand these things happen, even with precautions in place. To our surprise there was no reduction or even an apology. We made a mention of this and the server took the bill to speak to her colleague. They spoke amongst themselves and returned telling us that since they replaced my fries, they would not be offering anything further (clearly not even an apology). The server proceeded to say had I mentioned the hair at the end of my meal and the fries hadn’t been replaced, then the meal would have been taken off the bill. She remained quite defensive about having replaced it and that’s where it stands so we left it alone. Paid my £16 for a luke warm burger and won’t be back."

"Stumbled upon This place while visiting Melbourne it was a Monday afternoon spotted the rooftop bar and thought we should pop in for a drink we stayed for about 4 hours! Cheap good quality spirits food was amazing and service was great too! Francesca was awesome. The roast chicken,lamb shoulder and pumpkin was delicious! Highly recommend�"

"Okay, yeah, that was great. a nice restaurant, service was fantastic. atmosphere and decor was stunning. regarding the raised Asian fusion, this is almost perfect for me. soft dish cock bao was delicious, loved it. oysters, also a big hit. lobster curry sauce was goouod, lobster was also well cooked, fresh and had a good texture. it was very saucy so it would have been great if there were some veg in there, literally only the lobster pieces. I am a huge noodle fan and with an Asian fusion joint with not a single traditional noodle broke my heart a little. we were recommended to see the pad ew on the server and warn the noodles were not common, they were short and fat. I didn't think much of it, but when it arrived, they weren't even noodles! They were like tteokbokki (what I love), but it was a bit funny. the pad see ew sauce was simply overpowering dark soy, really could not taste the brown sugar or oyster sauce that would be traditionally connected to it and frankly, I didn't like it. friend loved the gay. the greens were okay, the sauce was just nothing special. good alcohol selection. cheap, but good."

"A Touch of France It?s been a while since our last visit to Trend Kitchen. This cozy little touch of France is a surprise to many. Front of house, Aureade (au red dee) and her husband, head chef, Antoine, are from Paris and both are trained chefs whose dishes are inspired by French cuisine, taking creative license to elevate their food to fine dining. Their menu is fresh and limited. Some old Trend dishes remain, but things like their foie gras (fwa gra duck liver) terrine was extraordinarily delicious! A leg of lamb, sous vide then roasted to perfection served with mashed potatoes and vegetable medley was ? well, my plate was cleaned with just a bone remaining. Their Mahi Mahi was outstanding too, with a sauce you?ll not get anywhere else and should make the permanent menu (hint) it was so good. The wine list is small but complimentary to the food. Even though we did not have one, a top request was their French version of a Bellini, so we now have a reason to return. You can dress to the nine?s or dine causally. This is a take your time restaurant and not an eat and run place, so make your reservations then sit back, relax, and enjoy the culinary trip to this little touch of France."
