"We stopped here for dinner while visiting NY. The owner, or at least I believe he was the owner, was gracious and accommodating. He gave us the table we wanted, and checked on us during our meal. We were a little concerned since the restaurant was mostly empty. However, the food was good and the prices even better. Service was terrific. Also, a very cool interior with fireplace and distinctive woodwork and fixtures."

"The food was excellent, so was the service, but the bartender made the drinks extremely sweet and even if I asked for a thin margarita, he could not make it without sugary ingredients. skinny margarita or espresso martini not sweet are very common drinks all where. I finally had a simple tequila and my man ordered wein."

"This is our go to place when on the Upper East side. The food and service are top notch and never disappoint. We always have the oysters which are fresh and served nicely. We tried the shrimp sushi and it was very good. We always have the filet mignon and was served as we asked: medium rare. The crime brûlée was delightful. Another really lovely dinner!"
