"We dined here with a Groupon voucher; a 5-course meal comprising of 3 degustation-size courses, a main and dessert. The good: the kitchen coped admirably well with a vegetarian; the lentils signature dish (a main) was fantastic and the mushroom soup very good and a generous portion. The scallops (another main) were beautiful and the dessert (cheesecake) decadent and yummy. The bad: I found the Moreton Bay bug course minuscule and tasteless, the roasted beetroot course was pleasant to look at but offered little in the way of taste. Our booking got lost somehow (despite receiving a confirmation both by email and SMS) but luckily they did manage to fit us in. Service was hectic (waiters excel at rushing around empty handed while avoiding eye contact) and the wait too long between courses. Overall we did enjoy our meal and at $84 ($79 for the Groupon voucher plus $5 supplement for the scallops) it was well priced (a bottle of OK wine included in the deal). Without a voucher prices seem too high for what you get."

"Had a groupon promotion, and had 2 gourmet bagels for 10.50. The bagel fillings and the bagels themselves are honestly delicious. I tried the lox combination, which was cream cheese and smoked salmon. There were a selection of homemade and fresh bagels, and so I tried the everything, and the king cheese. They are honestly so delicious. However, the normal price of a gourmet bagel is $10, which is a bit pricey for the average person. The staff are friendly and welcoming, which sets a good environment. The seating and tables are pleasant and comfortable. Would recommend."

"I don't often review but I went with my mother and sister today as I have been saying about how good the food is as I work nearby and lunch here often. Wasn't disappointed and really can't recommend enough, staff are helpful, food is fast but it's the tastiness of the food that gets me, who thought healthy food could taste so good. Put it in your list if you're near circular quay, the lentil and haloumi salad is worth a try. Only downside is how you're meant to know the place is there, the whole centre is hidden."

"A little hard to find on the street, being inside the Wesley Mission Centre with no sign on outside. We were also a little disappointed that on Sunday they don't serve the Malaysian menu. Instead we tried one of the cake my friend had a taro milkshake which she found too heavy and not the most enjoyable. The raspberry burnt butter cake though was devine."

"The team here were fantastic! They are speedy and friendly. I had free breakfast vouchers from the hotel next door(YEHS) and after leaving to go to my business hotel I decided to go back each morning for breakfast! Everything on offer was tasty , fresh and inviting. The coffee was outstanding"

"Needed a pick me up in the afternoon and this was close by. There was quite a queue of people even in the afternoon. Think everyone seemed to have the same idea! The guys behind the counter were quick at handling the queue and got through everyone's order efficiently. I had an Almond Friand and a Mocha. They use Toby's Estate Coffee. Both were nice.<br/ <br/ edited 04APR18 <br/ <br/ Visited here again for lunch with a workmate and service was lovely. We both the Lamb And Rosemary Broken Pie. It was slow braised lamb topped on mashed potato topped with a butter pastry. Absolutely delightful and a nice take on a deconstructed pie. Loved the flavours and very hearty."

"It was a great exeperience at Eggshell Cafe. The food was great, especially the Big Breakie had made me full and the coffee had made me awake for the rest of the day. Strongly recommend for brunch in the heart of the CBD"
