"Having visited Canberra once a year for the last five, I have enjoyed exploring its pub scene very much. However the Duck's Nuts was my first miss rather than a hit. Very modern, which will be fine for some, it lacks character. (I'm British. It's what I look for in a pub.) The beers were excellent with a wide range of craft drops on tap. The food was a lottery. Some of us loved the food others found the duck and chips a pile of sticky stodge. Staff were friendly and welcoming but I will not return."

"The Valet Service was great. Our waitress LaToya has provided excellent services. My wife had the lamb dogs and I had the seafood alfredo and both were excellent. In addition, we shared a crabcake and eastern market salad, which were also great. We will definitely return soon and highly recommend!"

"Our food was good but the service was very awkward and set the tone for a rather uncomfortable date. We had anticipated a much more romantic setting. We won’t return until it’s warmer outside to sit, it seems to be a nicer setting outside instead of the corner back farmhouse-looking area we were placed in for our reservation."

"I came here on a Friday evening in September, although the pub was overflowing into the street the dinning room was empty. We ate from the set menu. We both went for the burgers, cooked medium, and I was very pleased to see it was cooked perfectly. The French fries were really good and the relish was delicious. Dessert choices were limited due to a busy lunch service. Very attentive service, great value for properly cooked burger in the city."
