"This was our first time going there we had heard such wonderful things about the food I have to say it was only OK the waitress was very inattentive .We ordered a lot of food; the chicken was very good as were the ribs you get a few pieces of chicken and a few ribs on family meal. The ribs were very good, but the macaroni and cheese was watery and really had no flavor. potato salad was OK the quesadillas were I would say a little below average and my biggest complaint I guess would be the cleanliness of the restaurant You should clean all the dead bugs off the floor and out of your front window . You had a lot of dead flies that’s kind of gross in a restaurant. The prices are rather high when compared to say Bisquits and BBQ in Mineola. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1"

"We really enjoyed the musical duo that was playing at the restaurant. We ordered our food expecting the quality and serving size to be the same as the last time we were at the Barrel House. We were so disappointed. the meal was half the size of our last meal we experienced there and the quality was half as good as before, but the prices are the same. I can no longer recommend this restaurant."
