"The service was very good and all of the staff friendly and accommodating, even letting me sub onion rings for fries in the fish and chips, which they don’t usually do. But I was quite disappointed in our meals, given the rave reviews and recommendations. I was excited to have battered fish and onion rings, and my non-celiac husband ordered the chicken tenders which were described as “lightly breaded”. The coating on everything was very thick (one chunk of batter I peeled off an onion ring had a big chunk of dough) and over-cooked to a dark hue. The chicken tenders were hard to bite and the chicken inside was dry. There wasn’t a manager there so I let a server know about our experience (though she must have noticed the huge pile of peeled off batter on my plate), after paying the check and our tip so she was wouldn’t think we were just trying to get a break on the cost. I wanted to ask if they had a new cook as an explanation for the food but didn’t. I do hope this was a one-off since it is so highly regarded by other people with celiac."

"I have ordered two cakes from these people over ten years ago. Both cakes had thick Indian body hairs in them. The first time I thought it was an accident, the next time I was revolted. I don't like giving bad reviews but if you find these thick black Indian hairs in their cakes please make a photo and post. This was absolutely disgusting, it results from a company's desire for the cheapest of cheap labor."

"We stopped in for dessert and coffee. I give 4 stars for the coffee, which was very good and the waiter kept our cups full. The chocolate volcano cake was Ok. For the price it was very small and very ordinary. My advice is to just have the coffee."
